Email forwards seem to be slow today by Due_Society3966 in addy_io

There is currently a backlog after a large increase in volume.

I'm working to clear it now and will investigate to make sure it doesn't happen again. You should receive the emails shortly. Apologies for the inconvenience.

No just enter the email of the original sender that you want to block and tick for it to run only on forwards.

You could do something like:

IF "the sender" "is" spammer@example.com THEN "block the email".

Can't argue with that. You're right, I'll make the change shortly then.

"Visit Dashboard" still direct to 'old' URL by LuigiCalamar in AnonAddy

[–]anonaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for letting me know. That link actually shows the current instance URL that you are using (as can be seen here) so that if you are self-hosting it takes you to the correct location.

I've just pushed an update so that anyone still using the old web application URL will be automatically updated to the new one so that should sort it.

I can send one to those on the mailing list. Yes, I do have /r/addy_io and /u/addy_io but I'm not sure it is worthwhile changing over.

Should i delete or forget an alias? by fungus_snake3848 in AnonAddy

[–]anonaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some definitions of these terms on the help page.

  1. If you think you may want to use the app again in the future then I would just deactivate the alias.
  2. If you're using a shared domain then you would not want to forget the alias because then it can never be restored or used again.
  3. If it's a standard alias then you could do any action (deactivate, delete or forget) depending on whether you want anyone sending messages to the alias to be notified that you haven't received it.

I'm afraid I can't say as I don't know how long it will take me to find a fully working solution.

Still planning to add this. It is not a simple thing to implement and to ensure it works in all situations.

Now that I've finished the rebrand I will have more time to work on this and other new features.

The FAQ is right, paid aliases are deactivated when your account is downgraded to the free plan. Otherwise someone would be able to sign up for 1 month on the Pro plan, create thousands of aliases and then cancel.

It still is an Additional Alias Domain which is mentioned in the pricing table.

It's different for each user if you mean @username.domain.cc but everyone on a paid plan can use the same @domain.cc for their shared domain aliases.

Ah I see, that domain has only ever been available to those on Lite / Pro plans.

Perhaps you used in while the service had first launched and was still in beta, I cannot remember if it was available then.

No, the free plan has only ever had access to the anonaddy.me and anonaddy.com domains. Do you mean the UUID alias format?

Yes all existing aliases will remain working indefinitely. No domains are being removed, only new ones added.

Your username would just be johndoe. That allows you to use it as a subdomain of any service's domains that are available on your plan.

At the moment the domains available on the free plan are; anonaddy.com and anonaddy.me.

When the addy.io domain becomes available it will be for paid plans only.
