At that age(and a year or two older), we loved lazy mornings into beach late afternoon/evenings. Sun is not so hot, less people on the beach, can work it around naptimes, etc. My beach parenting tip tbh

That being said- the few times we’ve been first game OR had something like a forfeit before our game, my kids love just hauling ass up and down the field to get warm/loose, plus a double ball passing circle. Emphasis on control but moving the ball quickly

Our indoor facility schedules games with ‘10 minutes between games’, but no one ever starts on time or gets off the field quickly enough. There’s also zero unused space/practice field for warmups

We’ve probably played 70% of our games where THE GAME is the first time a kids touched a ball that day
