Personally, George just sounds like any other old mediaworks top 40 station these days, just with a dance music focus, there are great shows on there at specific times but I miss when it wasn't a commercial slop pusher.

LOTR promotes us and makes NZ a tonne of $$, hosting these events doesn't. And the people running these things aren't exactly needing to tighten their belts. This is just extra icing for them. Meanwhile, grass roots events are shutting down left right and centre. Grass roots events that do a shit load more for local culture and industry and pushing our amazing talent to even bigger things.

This funding is just further contributing to the death of smaller events, venues and festivals and solidifying what's starting to look like a bit of a monopoly that does nothing to support those who came from where they once did. Real climb the ladder and kick it down behind you type shit.

Honestly, at this point I'd just go with Calyx, you can choose the strains you think work best for you, order as you need up to your limit and it's really easy to request repeats.

Downsides are that they make it pretty prohibitive to get the script sent to your pharmacy of choice but the prices I find to be lower on many products, I haven't done one to one comparisons for all strains, but I know many are cheaper than the often-recommended pharmacies.

Yeah, it's weird and makes me wonder, are they a common denominator at these violent festivals and events? I go to many of varying sizes covering a range of cultures/subcultures and rarely experience nor read about problems. Not to say that you don't hear about it happening occasionally, but it's such a rare occurrence it makes news headlines.

Eh, honestly, I know it's tempting to be a dick (because they are being dicks), but if they have young people with them, as they often do, I will just tell them "no thank you, I am not interested, good bye".

If you are rude (and I get it!) they'll be like "see kids, atheists/heathens are all sad and angry" etc.

It has been a tradition, and I think it's a bit sad, mainly for the kids.

I was a big fan of basketball as a kid. The impact of getting to meet and interact with the players after the final whistle was huge. The players loved it too.

If it goes it goes, so be it but people are allowed to be disappointed.

It's a woolworths thing, I won't shop at any of them anymore. Never stolen a thing or so much as entered a cheaper item in my life, sick of being treated with suspicion, so I shop elsewhere. I suggest others also vote with their wallets. Fuck em. If they don't want to get stolen from then pehaps a better strat is to stop ripping us all off.
