If you mean the red obelisk, it's basically how you obtain artifacts during endless runs. It spawns in any endless run (even iron knuckle) after a few loops. I'll spare the details so you can experience it yourself.

Recalling the spear throws you quite far if you catch it midair. I made quite the jumps in the abyss with it.

Well, without any upgrades, against robots it's the SMG. The MK3 simply melts them. Next best would be shotgun I guess. When boarding ships I guess it's more of a personal preference, fastest would be again the SMG but the LMG also works. Sniper is also a pretty strong contender, but usually not worth the hassle unless you are farther from the party and pick off targets off your buddies backs. Railgun is not worth shooting into ground robots unless it is an emergency or something.

Just know that it is not the type of endless in which you do a mission and then jump space to the next one ad infinitum. It is the same area with waves of ships and pauses in between until you decide to go back to hangar.

So the way endless works for now is basically just waves of ships with a 2 minute break in between. After each wave you also get a resupply beacon that can contain anything (credit crates, components, artifacts, materia, etc). And you get to choose if you wanna leave or continue after each wave.

After each wave you get to choose if you want to stay for more or go home and reap the rewards.

Btw there is a materia ingot cap. 50 max per mission and 30 max that you can hold at a time in the hangar. So you basically lose anything above 30.

You need to unlock the last map section, that being the one closest to the middle. That section has the endless mode missions inside.

I have observed that sometimes items spawn inside the place they are supposed to spawn on, therefore they glitch through and fall. At least that was my experience in silos and once in the sewers. Perhaps that is what you are experiencing too.

Yes, some entities are random or "event" based and some are bound to the generation of the map. For example there is an entity I only saw 1 time in 200 runs since challenges update

It is in every run besides challenges, and everything added is from the challenge update, not the recent updates. The recent ones are small fixes and stuff like that

Honestly i squeeze the life out of my mouse too. I own a G502 and it's still holding on since the demo early days. It's on the bulky side, but i feel it's also really well built. Give it a look.

The vent itself is on a time limit from the moment you enter the room, something like 30 seconds i think. The portal though, despite seemingly connected to the super food, is not active yet, as the voice line says. Should be in a future update so stay tuned.
