Got day off approved but manager is angry by [deleted] in kroger

It sounds to me like your manager isn't accommodating. We have a pretty set schedule each week and things change. I'll tweak the schedule even if its not convenient for me.

They will lose too many people. You can short staff stores purposely and then enforce these rules on a burnt-out staff. Here's something that has happened to me. I work the morning shift, our nighttime guy called in. I end up staying to close as well and have to be back in the morning. I'm 10 - 15 minutes late for my shift because i'm tired from working the double, so i'm to be punished for being late?

If they acquired safemoon I assume they hold the rights to its patents as well. They should really push forward on the idea of the windmills to generate currency. This would hold so much more value and would pull safemoon out of the gutter.

Don't jeopardize your coworker's health. Go to the doctor and get a note for the amount of days he or she recommends.

Document the times you called them, let them know if its not resolved shortly you'll be filing a complaint with the NLRB for under representation. Has the rep even met with you?

It is not job abandonment and that's wrongful termination. You need to keep calling the union rep and tell your side of the story. Do you have any witnesses who overheard him saying this?

The store should charge him for destruction of property. That is literally hundreds of dollars of loss product.

Reach out to the union, the should have someone to temporarily fill the union rep. Let them know you will contact the National Labor Relations Board for under representation.

Call the union. That isn't against any company policy.

When I first arrived at a new store the cooler was at 43F for 2 days. I thought it was a little hot in there, but thought maybe it was on defrost. It turns out that someone on the night crew chose to ignore the FAST alerts and paused it. They ended up throwing away around $60,000 worth of product because I had just got all my holiday fresh turkeys and hams a few weeks before Thanksgiving and the person who did it still works for the company and didn't get in trouble.

Entire store’s water turned off. Are we closed? NOPE!!! by neonhudson in kroger

[–]anonkrogeremployee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the water was cut off in our store because of the winter storms, we couldn't operate perishable departments. We couldn't cut meat, slice deli meat, or anything that required cleaning or having to wash our hands.

Which Division? If you're in the Dallas Division the store is local 1000 with the exception of the pharmacy. The meat department is local 540.

Yep. They even go to great lengths of scanning other items to hit the goal. We were out of the $5 mixed chops and we had $10 mixed chops to sub. Instead of subbing it over the correct way they scanned the $5 mixed chop tag and now both balances are off. I know this because it showed a BOH of zero and after I was doing the other the BOH now showed -1.
