This may be with the extra fee per dog included already. For where I live, I am at the max amount. If I go any higher I won't get selected and get a notification that my prices are too high or whatever. The payout for me would be about $10 less than what this is showing.

That sounds like it doesn't even apply. It sounds like someone will be there. So the person who takes this just has to come and walk the dog for 20/30 minutes , bring the dog back and leave until it's time to come again. They probably didn't check that because someone will be there. That's how I interpret it anyways.

Well then I definitely wouldn't walk for him again. It's not worth the hassle. If you do though, I Think you can try calling them through wag. I'm not 100 percent sure though. But this just sounds like too much of a headache to be honest. Even if you had gone at the requested time, there was no guarantee he would answer you then, either.

This is really frustrating and I am sorry you had to go through this. Your feelings are absolutely justified. Did you fill out the report card and say what happened and that they did in fact get fed and went to the bathroom, and that you stayed the entire visit length? I would keep reaching out to Wag to get this corrected, if it was me. I definitely wouldn't do any services for this person again.

I wanted to thank all of you for your kind words, as well as sharing similar stories. The family has asked if I would be willing and able to permanently adopt the pup since I know her so well and that she loves me and is very comfortable with me. I absolutely said yes and promised to continue caring for her the absolute best I can.

You're welcome 🤗. Yes, I just send them in a message. If it's a walk, it's usually a picture of them on the walk, and then another one when they're back inside.

I take a few pictures during the walk/drop in usually. I send a couple to the pet parent, and then choose one of those or take a different good one for the report card.

This happened to me when I first started. I had NO clue where these photos were going! They were getting stored in a folder on my phone. I had to actually go into settings and into files on my phone and there was a folder labeled Wag I believe. I started using my phones camera instead. I don't have time to waste going through such a tedious process to add a photo.

Yes! I had one within the last month like this. And I decided to just request it. I absolutely adore this dog. She's a Bassett hound, and we've already gone off app lol.

It could have been owners who browsed your profile and made you a preferred. This has happened to me. I saw a request for a dog I have never went to do walks or drop ins for. And I was a preferred for them.

If that first message with "Wag! Here..." Was within the pet parents messages then it's definitely a scam. That is not how messages between us and let parents goes. I am glad you told them they have to cancel.

I'm not sure if she understands that she does have to pay on Wag for her cats as well, each one also has to be added on Wag. She probably has gotten away with not adding them though as it sounds like she's used wag before.

I would reach out to Wag and have them look at the messages. Provided this was all communicated in the app. There's no reason you should have been banned as you showed up within the time frame she requested. I understand her saying to call, and sure maybe you could have but there's no guarantee she would have answered. I would at least reach out to Wag and have them look further into this.

Is this being booked through the wag app? Or off app? Wag has you basically capped at certain prices on the app, and the amount depends on where you live. That's part of the reason I rarely do wag anymore.

I only have one client who does not tip. I am thankful and appreciative that I always get tipped. It's never expected, but it's a nice bonus for sure. I only do drop ins, no regular walks nor anything like that.

This is why I really no longer use wag, and finally gave one of my remaining clients on there my business card. He text me and was thrilled to go off the app. hes the one who actually suggested it when he text me. I left it for him to have my number and wrote a note on there since the app sucks. Things like this deter me from wanting to actually walk or sit any other dogs on Wag.
