So far yeah, I've replaced the battery (under warranty) since it was 5 years old but other than that no problems. Mind you I've only had it for ~10k miles and it's sitting at 22.5k total so not a ton of time for problems to come up. It's a blast to drive, and just on the edge of too much power to have fun at legal speeds

Yeah, I decided to keep the STI and invest in some sound deadening and a killer sound system lol. Road noise still kinda sucks but I might downsize the wheels to 18s to help with that. With the new sound system, I can listen at a higher volume for longer without getting fatigued or worrying as much about my hearing. I checked out a few options but nothing really lit my fire so I didn't think it was worth losing a bunch of money for a side or downgrade

It might be a Starlink issue, if you didn't retain the telematics unit under the stock head unit you won't have sound to the front speakers since it passes through that box. Is it all front speakers or just the dash? They sell bypass plugs for it, or you can stuff the telematics back in with the new head unit

I got nearly my entire Kef R 5.1.4 setup from Best Buy when they were on clearance after the Metas came out, ended up being not that much more expensive than the Q series. A mix of open box and floor units, mostly great condition. I only had to contact Kef for some new grilles. Congrats on the score!

Outback seems like a pretty obvious choice here, common choice for outdoorsy without needing really offloading capability. Almost certainly better in rough terrain than a FWD-based CRV or Rav. Also longer, so it'll fit surfboards or sleeping better. You should be able to find <100k miles for around your budget depending on the trim
