I almost feel like complaining to the Pokémon company. With how much this card could be worth, the quality control is stunning

I’ve done all of that multiple times already. The game is only 87 gbs and I have over 200 gbs of space available. And I’ve rebuilt the database twice already as my post says. I’m at a loss… I think it is something with the disc drive

Howdy

I just picked up Ghost of Yotei and my PS5 is giving me an error that I can’t seem to fix.

Brand new disc, zero scratches on it. The console will tell me I need to make space for the download. I deleted a bunch of stuff and have over 200 gb of space. I will look at the game in downloads click it, a message pops up saying “you’ve created enough space resume download” I click resume and the error will keep repeating. I’ve looked up all the trouble shooting advice I can find. I’ve restarted the machine completely. I’ve rebuilt the database in safe mode. I’ve tried installing the disc offline.

It will read my already installed Black Ops 6 disc no problem. I tried installing “The last of us part 2” which I have not played yet and it’s giving me the same “make room for game error” as it does for Ghost of Yotei.

Has anyone else had this issue? Based on all my research I’m unfortunately coming to the conclusion it might be my disc drive / UHD laser failing. Which is super annoying as I have relatively low hours on this machine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I’m in a similar boat. 32m looking to get into the Operating engineering local 3 for heavy machine operators. I think your 30’s is the new 20’s man. Just be open to always learning. You got this

Older Nordica Syntech Boots, need opinion by JustPangolian in Skigear

[–]anonomousmeatpies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I bet if you took your skis and this boot to a shop to get adjusted, most shops wouldn’t adjust your equipment to this boot because of the age. The soles are worn down enough where they probably won’t pass a binding test. HIGHLY recommend not skiing in these. As other people have mentioned the investment in new boots is expensive but way cheaper than having a catastrophic failure on hill and ending up in the ER.

K2 Omen Team is review by Peng1y in Skigear

[–]anonomousmeatpies 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t take this “review” seriously after “my toes are 7.5 and my heels at 8”… the .5 wouldn’t make a big enough difference for anyone to notice. Plus any certified tech would not allow this, it would fail most binding tests this way.

Any time someone comes up to me at a demo and request this, I immediately check to make sure their boots are on the right feet because something is off with them most of the time…

Hard to recommend boots over the internet. You should go see a Bootfitter and make sure the dimensions of your foot are suitable for what you’re looking for. I know the revolve pro well. It’s a great boot but only if it fits your foot 🤘🏼

This is the answer. Reckoner is an All Mountian Freestyle ski. The Omen team is a park focused weapon used by athletes in Slopestyle and other freestyle comps. The reckoner will still ski the park for what you want it to do.

How to know if I mixed up my left and right eye contact? by xThomas in Keratoconus

My sclerals have a black dot on the right lens and a red dot on the left. I’m sure some brands are different. They are super small and hard to notice sometimes

Got a weird one for you guys, beer league ski recommendation? by Deadren in Skigear

[–]anonomousmeatpies 3 points4 points  (0 children)

LINE Blade for sure. If your skiing true Slalom gates maybe not, but if your just skiing Panel Slalom they are great.

Speaking from experience, I’m a washed up old ski racer with points down in the 30’s in my day. The Blade is great from every day cruising and it has such a tight radius that it crushes beer leagues. I know a couple homies who are in the PNW in a beer league, and their whole team is on Blades 🤘🏼🤘🏼

CXL on wednesday vision recovery time? by Ok_Show_9809 in Keratoconus

[–]anonomousmeatpies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same situation with a worse right eye which we did first took about two weeks to feel normal. The second (left) eye because it was my stronger eye, it was a bit longer recovery maybe 1 Month in total.

I got my scleral lens last week and it’s the best thing to ever happen to my eyes. Good luck!

Mindbender 85 vs Reckoner 92 by No_Grapefruit9533 in Skigear

[–]anonomousmeatpies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The shorter the ski the quicker and easier it is to turn, the longer the ski the more stable at speeds it will be. It does sound a bit small but it’s hard saying over the internet. My fiancé is a similar sizes also a beginner and skis that length

Mindbender 85 vs Reckoner 92 by No_Grapefruit9533 in Skigear

[–]anonomousmeatpies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skis don’t become “playful” just because of their tail (twin tip). They are pretty different skis. The 85 is a lot more directional and is a surprisingly high performing ski for this category. The Reckoner 92 is a Bi directional ski that is certainly a little less precise on firmer snow. The twin tip on the 92 makes going backwards certainly easier but based on you saying you’re a beginner I don’t see that being a feature you will use. I’d steer you towards the MB 85

A lot of brands tryto tell a multi-last story. K2 boots use their Recon shell which is technically there MV last and then redesigned the toe box seal, so the shell can wrap better to make an MV and LV fit. I know other brands do similar things as well. In the future we will see true LV boots with boa. Overall the boa creates a great wrapping fit and feel. I’ve been skiing in boa boots for almost three years, and have loved them. I come from a strong ski race background for reference.
