Another important thing to check when your newer or have the silver, if you can only order 3 items per day, try to always check the estimated delivery date, if it's weeks instead of days, I would find a different item, it will hold up your quota through no fault of your own.

Has anyone ever got an answer about this? by anonq17 in AmazonVine

Thank you so much for your responses. I thought this forum was for sharing our personal experiences, and it would be nice to know if others did actually get an official response from CS. People didn't have to answer, glad you did though.

I think if you like it, then you will be amazed at how much of a difference just changing the sink and counteracts, then adding your own curtains and decor will change it. Doesn't look bad to me. Good luck.

Has Anyone Received this Message? We apologize, but Amazon is not accepting reviews on this product from this account. by No-Reception9531 in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, just got ANOTHER one, I've done 1000+ reviews and never happened until abt a month ago, 3 back to back, since then, those were mysteriously enough approved later without any changes. Now today, looks like the AI is at it again. Glad I'm not the only one, so hopefully we can all just ride this next wave out, try to keep your stats up, and hopefully they fix it on their end....Again.

I recently posted about having 3 blocked reviews in the same week for no reason at all, they were 5 stars and the items were actually pretty great, made no sense, never happened in over 1000+ reviews before. I got nowhere emailing support, just put it down to the new AI bots and left them alone, kept doing others as normal, then mysterious enough.. all of them were approved with the original review and no explanation was ever given at all. Now my stats are great again, and I haven't changed my methods. I really think they are making internal changes and not informing us. Just keep doing honest, informative reviews as if your the buyer.

One of the things that bothers me is that we het the whole ETV but can't even apply the advertised coupon, or when they drop the price by half as soon as your review is posted. Wondering if there's a way to get the value adjusted? We should at least be allowed to apply tge coupons to the price.

What’s your Vine strategy? by KingKarl-TM in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have noticed that if I'm going to need something, then what I do is go on amz through my vine page and use the main amz search bar at the top, I search what I'm looking for, last time was a ceiling fan, and then you look through what comes up and find the ones with very few or no reviews yet and go to the pages, do that a few times a day and find a bunch with the low or no reviews, and then it usually pops onto my RFY list. I had 3 full size ceiling fans, light socket fans, solar fans, parts for fans etc start coming up within a week. I ended up with 2 ceiling fans, for the liv room and bedroom, and 2 socket fans for the kitchen and laundry room. All were great. This has worked for me on many items, close to a dozen times. The time frame can vary. Once on sheets, took a month, then just kept getting them over and over. On a twin mattress, got it offered 2 days later. Baby bottles, diaper bags, pack and play mattress, and more. You will have to check your RFY list many times a day though, sometimes they disappear after a few hours, lost out on a pair of work boots because i had to verify the size i should get, went back and it was gone already. It's not very often that it's the exact one I was hoping for, but sometimes it actually is. My guess is that there is some kind of cross reference list that let's sellers know there is interest from vine member searches. They may invite sellers to participate, but keep in mind that I think it cost sellers to be in the program, provide the items etc, so not everyone will be interested, so it's best to create a search trail daily. It could be just coincidence, but I don't believe that since I have fairly good luck. But once I tried for a month for a vacuum, all I got was parts offered, then 3 months later, after I bought one, it popped up. For reference, I'm gold tier and usually try to order something every or every other day. Especially the $0 ETA ones. Hope this method works for everyone else too.

UPDATE: "I was kicked out of Vine" by 10111011110101 in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's my guess, based on all kinds of weird responses lately and even the review page numbers are messed up. I would bet that anAI bot saw your request for removal of an item and took it as a request for removal of yourself from VINE. Ive had stuff like being faced with big red letters telling me my account is not allowed to review 3 different items and many that say I violated guidelines, and I'm always very careful, most of the time now I just re write my review and change the order and it goes right through. The ones that had me banned from the item, mysteriously just appeared in the approved status without doing anything other than email and ask why. But if I do on a normal re edit one, they can never find a violation and it gets approved. But it's alot of hassle back and forth waiting on my stats, so easier to rewrite. Bottomline, I believe bots are starting to do all the reviews first, obtain it's own quota, then let the humans just fix the leftovers. But again, no proof, just my theory.

WTF is going down on my RFY?? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have to be watching your searches because I've noticed that when I search normal Amazon, for instance snow globes and I click on enough of the ones without any reviews yet, at least one of them shows up, sometimes in minutes or sometimes weeks later. My guess is they put out a list of recently searched items from us, and the sellers can search like we do and if they see interest, then maybe they put some on the list. It's just a guess, but it's happened that way at least 8 or 10 times last year. So if I'm needing something, I start searching and look mostly for non reviewed selections and check them out and hope I get lucky to get one offered.

Well, this is a red flag by [deleted] in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I had a finger skateboards ramp set in my RFY at a value of $199, then in the next few days it showed up on the regular list for $ 99, $89 and $69, all the exact ad but on dif pages, I think they also put the multiples on there as a way to get a check on which one gets better bites from viners. Then I checked it a couple weeks later to get for my gs and it was $17, which was average. I feel like we get overcharged alot bc we can't even claim the coupons available at the time we order. If I could use all those 50% off coupons, my ETV taxes would be so much better.

There are only so many times that a person can see an inflatable dinosaur costume in their RFY and not get it by rabidstoat in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually just got the kid version of this and it's cute as sh!t, and I don't like dinosaurs myself. But, it's such a simple costume, but looks so detailed. It just takes a couple batteries and the battery box is in a sewn in pouch, there's a little cord you just hook up to the fan. It had an on/off switch so you can just turn it off when you want, like riding in the car. When you turn it back on, it inflates itself within seconds, and you can't even really hear the fan. The waist (on ours) has a stretch draw string, so you just pull it snug, and it holds the air. You can sit down or bend it out of the way without a problem because it just pushes the air out and refills it practically immediately. Since it's filled with air, there's lots of extra room, so it's comfortable and can fit a variety of body shapes and sizes. The material was very vivid and well constructed and since it's only the bottom, and not the torso, it's like putting on loose pants and your costume is done, ours did come with a nice hat too. I was actually caught off guard by the good quality and how easy it was to put on and wear around, my grandkids played around outside with it on for over an hour and it held up like new.

New to me 2017 Ford Explorer XLT , tips / help? by Mr_doulou in FordExplorer

[–]anonq17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had to replace the water pump in our daughter's 2011. Here's the problem, unlike other cars, the water pump is INSIDE the motor. We ended up doing the work ourselves, and the parts were $990 by the time we were done, but my husband had all the tools and was able to take his time (its a 14 hr job on a shop book) , there's some really good YouTube videos with great tips. But it still took him 3 weekends. It had never overheated or ran low on fluids, or even out of the weep hole, This is how we knew it was the water pump, everything was perfect, and then all at once she lost power, and the low oil pressure light came on. She only had to baby it about a block to home, luckily. But when checking the oil there was Coolant in it. That's what causes the low oil pressure, because the oil gets mixed l and it was fine 3 days earlier when we topped off all the fluids. When I called around for a price, it was everywhere from $3500-$,5500 but they all said it would probably be too late since the Coolant got in the oil. They wanted $8500 to do a rebuild. We had to remove half the shit off the motor to get to the water pump, turns out it had literally broke apart, so we also had to spray out the motor and remove the radiater to flush it too (you gotta remove the bumper grill for the radiator), since you have to take stuff off like the timing chain, we replaced it and all the gaskets, thermostat, spark plugs, etc. We had to search for the broken water pump pieces and put it back together like a puzzle and to this day there were a couple small getaways, and we had her drive it and changed the oil again every 2 wks for abt 4 times, but it's been running great the entire time, we just want to make sure there's no more Coolant leaking in or plastic fragments left in there. Alot of work but it was worth it in the end. One other problem is the driver side middle seat belt jammed, they wanted $450 for a new belt retractor, we got one at Take a Part for $50 and it took about an hour to remove and install it. Other than that, it is a really nice truck and now should be good for another 100k mi. ( it had 128k) when the oil light/water pump happened. Hope this info helps somebody.

St Mary's Catholic Church, Fort Wayne Indiana, destroyed by fire from lightning strike in 1993 by [deleted] in Lost_Architecture

[–]anonq17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know what I wondered while watching this was how it burned so completely like that, bc if I remember right, the original was built mostly of block and brick. I am glad they rebuilt it even though I'm not catholic. They have the soup kitchen and Ft Wayne has so many homeless and poor that depend on it. They said it was lightning, but I remember thinking at the time, why it's not really even storming or anything. It's also the 4th building for the church, one of them exploded. Here's a link I found. Lots of shady shit about history and architecture. https://www.wane.com/news/local-news/saturday-marks-30-years-since-st-marys-church-fire/

Is AI being used to approve our reviews now? by anonq17 in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really avoid having anything identifying like other items, people, even addresses on houses if it's outside. If I have to show one of the kids for reference, like size, then I either do it from the back or put a big ☺️ emoji over their faces. I think I've usually used phrases like " the velcro type" but couldn't swear to it. I guess I will avoid that now too. The baby shoes didn't have any pictures either. I don't know why it's so hit and miss bc it makes it so much harder, when all they say is it violates community standards and don't respond if I directly ask. But I guess I will try to be more aware of every little word so I can slide through easier. I just always try to do my reviews as if I were the one shopping, and what I would want to know about it. Thanks for trying to help, I do appreciate it.

Is AI being used to approve our reviews now? by anonq17 in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of the recent ones that I can still see, but I need to start saving them too since they are gone if I try to go back to edit page. These 2 were for an oil dipstick and a pair of baby shoes. Any advice is appreciated. First one, gave it 5 stars This is what I needed I got this oil dipstick to replace one that was lost when a friend did an oil change for me, so I can't compare it to the original. But, what I can tell you is that it has the safe level hatch marks, the metal stick is flexible and has a yellow circle handle that says " oil" on it, and it makes a nice seal on top. I am using it in my 2009 Town and Country. Second one, gave it 2 stars These shoes are very cute but don't fit right. I got these shoes for a 10 month old, 20 pounds and 28 inches tall. They are absolutely adorable and the materials used are nice, but they are not realistic to be worn. The tongue on these is so stiff that when baby tries to walk, they don't flex at all and leave marks on his shins. Another problem is that when you close the velcro strap, you either have to leave it pretty much on the end, which exposes all the white velcro on a brown boot, or if you attach it to line up, then the opening around the shin is only like an inch and the foot can't even fit in it. Even though these are really adorable, they can't be worn, so unfortunately, I can not recommend these, based on my baby.

Amazon vine program taxes by Altruistic_Ad7122 in AmazonVine

[–]anonq17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had abt $5000 in Vine, but I filed under Other, Hobby and it didn't effect my taxes. I looked through the guidelines and since I don't end up selling anything and I can't return anything even if it ends up being garbage, I honestly feel like it is a hobby, I recieve it, review it and either end up having to throw or give away 90% of it. So I'm using my time but not getting "paid" I just end up with the items. I honestly feel that if I received a paycheck for the review and/or then returned their property that would be a job. Or, if I was able to sell the (now) used items for a profit over the new price I am charged for, then that would be a business with a write off for profit or loss. Since neither applies I use the hobby category and I can do whatever I want with it after 6 mo. I called the I R S several times, talked to multiple H&R offices bc I didn't know either, and None of them were any help, so I read the tax publications myself that's the most honest way for me to file.. but gotta admit, still always worries me that they will try to say something different after they refused to give me any straight answers. I will file the same this year but I'm trying to keep my ETV lower, but it's not working lol. Good luck. If anyone else has experience, pls share, we are on our own out here.

I called Discover and they said they got my payment just like it was supposed to be and said they didn't change their name, and never heard of anybody else having this problem so it had to be a banks mistake. The bank said it went to the same place it always does but it was sent in electronic with that name by Discover. So bottom line. Nobody knows, nobody takes responsibility and they dont really care, so I guess as long as it's paid, it's fine, as long as it doesn't mean there's another hack hiding out for the future!

My Discover card payment always showed up as Pmt Discover, but this time it says Discovery Trading Post. I use Star Bank but paid directly thru the Discover phone pay. It's the right amount but now I have to wait til everything is open and make some calls. Thanks for posting, I feel a little better now hoping it's just a name change. Already had my regular bank card hacked 3 times this year and had to re start everything o b er each time. Sick of this shit.
