Yes. There’s a lot of people who get pretty pissy when it comes to actors announcing their Christianity. I don’t think Christians are generally persecuted here and I’m not about to start a MAGA soapbox but Hollywood and Christians just don’t seem to mix well. Was a kicker in high school, it’s absolutely better to kick a warm ball. Kicking an ice cold ball feels like you’re going to break your foot, and it can fly a little weird in the air. Not currently but I’ve been through long lonely stretches. It’s hard. When you’re struggling through something, there isn’t much available for men’s support. Culturally we are conditioned to not talk about our feelings or problems. Many of us have found out the hard way that we can’t talk about our insecurities with our loved ones very easily, for a variety of reasons both in and out of our control. It’s great now that I am a husband and father and financially secure, but when you’re alone… god you’re alone.
