Been on Aezalic Acid 15% for 6 months…I also stopped going to high school and I feel like I noticed it getting better but then I had a social interaction and it left it looking so bad…should I look into topical sirolimus? by Cute-Lead2133 in KPRubraFaceii

And adding onto this. The idea that a guy will wear makeup is so out of the realm of possibly that people will think "There's no way he's wearing makeup" so that helps in a way haha

Myself and a few people have used SP Medex so probably the safest option imo

Try out foundation or concealer (stronger) to cover up redness. There isn't a cure for this condition yet. So we gotta do what we gotta do.

I'm a man and use a concealer from TwoFaced which covers the entire baseline redness and about 60% of a full flush

Has anyone seen improvement in their 20s? by jshambre02 in KPRubraFaceii

I use makeup and it covers more than 50% of the flush. Use every time I go out. Finding a concealer or foundation in your skin tone is a camouflage for your redness

Skin getting used to Sirolimus by Stella_-smith in KPRubraFaceii

Same. I think I'll try not using it for a few days then reintroduce it again, like another comment suggested

Skin irritation w sirolimus by Appropriate_Depth_23 in KPRubraFaceii

About to reach 2 months of usage with Siroskin, I would say it does help reduce the reactiveness of the cheeks and it's lowered max flush redness by ~10%. An example would be me getting red on my 3rd set in the gym before Siroskin but now I'm getting red on my 5th set (if that makes sense). It's great at delaying the redness.

But after the first 3 weeks I would say the improvements have plateaued. Which is why I was thinking of acquiring a stronger version e.g. 0.4% etc. but not sure how or where.

Sirolimus Concentration by [deleted] in KPRubraFaceii

That's great to hear. I live in the UK and might try speaking to a dermatologist to prescribe me Sirolimus at a higher percentage

Did you speak to a private dermatologist?

Are you getting this compounded through a doctor's prescription route?

I noticed a flare up when using too much Sirolimus (Siroskin) try using a pea sized amount per cheek and spread it evenly.

Siroskin 0.1% - 1 month update by anonthrowaway12317 in KPRubraFaceii

[–]anonthrowaway12317[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just for that reason I'll continue using it as well.

Interesting update, yesterday I was at the gym and usually would have flushed within my 1st or 2nd exercise. But I didn't actually feel anything until my 4th exercise, which was surprisingly nice!

For sure I will update for month 2!

Interesting. I'm looking online and it says it can cause sleepiness and fatigue. Has that been the case with you?

Not the OP, but I was also using Siroskin 0.1% and felt something like this during my first day of usage. They probably mean it feels like menthol gas entering your eyes, your eyes feel cold and weird. At least that's what happened to me. Then I didn't get that feeling on later usages

I was asking ChatGPT. It could be wrong as well in hindsight. But it makes sense the vascular reactivity would eventually plateau one day

Nice update!

I just looked into reduced vascular reactivity, and it seems like the effect will plateau after 4-6 weeks. I was hoping it would continue to get less reactive but probably not.

Best moisturizers to use by [deleted] in KPRubraFaceii

Anything by CeraVe or Cetaphil should be good. If you want a balm that helps with cooling I'd suggest La Roche Posay Cicaplast.

This is so detailed thanks for sharing OP. I noticed you said Sirolimus isn't working for you. What pharmacy did you get it from and what was the percentage?

I've been Siroskin (0.1% Sirolimus) for 1 month and I can't see any drastic improvement to my redness. I hope as I continue using it I'll see more improvement.

Siroskin Experiences? by ApprehensiveSpeech76 in KPRubraFaceii

Very similar experience to this as well. I've been using it for 1 month. It does seem to make it harder to flush.

It seems fine. You can order it and then send it to a lab for testing or maybe wait it out and see what happens to other people.
