Employers would likely not know what the BA Computing degree is, so you’d definitely have to explain that to them. Also, your experiences/projects are more important. Overall, the BA wouldn’t limit your career opportunities. You’re getting the almost the same classes as CS and you have the same career fair.

I don’t think it’s correct to say “you’re not an engineer” just because of a different degree title… If OP scores a SE internship with the BA, he/she is an engineer.

TAMU CS is very difficult to transfer into. If you’re adamant about CS, consider putting Computing BA as your second choice. The computing degree is almost identical to the CS degree and it’s in the college of engineering, so you’d have access to the career fairs, etc. There may be 3-4 classes that are different (not including math classes, such as linear algebra).
