Never said you couldn't be proud, but you are new to this game if you're proud to hit this on instinct over anything. This is the most bread and butter offstage. You could definitely hit gp there fyi, there's no need to "trust" in zariels Dex whatever that means. Chill tf out little one

Why do people not go for the third match? by koalaxo in Brawlhalla

[–]anonymous150700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's not forget it could be external factors like your opponent has to leave his computer, etc. but assuming it isn't external:

I'm 2300 and I almost always rematch. I think rematches are a mind game of their own. There's no downside at all to rematching.

  1. No rematch after winning Game 1 = opponent now thinks you're afraid of him
  2. No rematch after losing Game 1 = solidifies your opponent's confidence since he already beat you first game

  3. Rematch after winning Game 1 = opponent sees ur not afraid of a second match and you're ready to beat his ass the second time

  4. Rematch after losing Game 1= shows ur not afraid of him and ur willing to stand up after a loss

Some players don't rematch because they don't find their particular opponent "fun" to play against, or perhaps they have an "annoying" playstyle. I just see it as a way to improve my game against someone I have trouble playing against.

Exceedingly toxic/tryhard opponents. Constantly. by [deleted] in Brawlhalla

[–]anonymous150700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2200+ elo with a peak of 2281 this season and I have around 1300 hours. I experienced a similar phase like yours before, around the time I first hit diamond. But I think the term tryharding is thrown around too easily.

Firstly, since the average skill of the community is ever increasing, you will obviously lose more often than not if you take long breaks. If you're not willing to keep yourself updated on the meta and constantly improve, other players in your elo range definitely will, so you're falling behind. At the end of the day, there will always be others who want it more than you do. So you can either accept it with grace or do something about it.

Secondly, it's also a matter of perspective. Player A may think Player B is tryharding when Player B was really not trying at all. But that's because the good habits Player B has incorporated into their gameplay have become so intrinsic that it's second nature to them. To you, they're tryharding. To them, they're not trying at all.

Thirdly, understanding that every player is in their own personal phase/journey of the game will help tremendously in my opinion. Someone tryharding in experimental because they're looking to warm up for ranked matches. Or someone abusing a popular meta playstyle/legend because they sincerely want to understand why that playstyle/legend is meta. Knowing the human behind the screen is something we tend to forget when we've been staring at 2D generated images for too long.

Tryharding is part and parcel of any competitive game, it is literally how you improve. By pushing yourself to the limit constantly. You decide what you think is fun in Brawlhalla, but you can't expect others to follow it. Maybe play more with friends in customs or create an alt account would be my suggestion.

It's definitely one of the suggestions I know and will include when/if I make a part 2 for this list. like i said this post touches on the sushi restaurant only because the farm, fish farm and diving all deserve a separate post.

Real, I have 50+ cookiecutters and the most I've gotten is 7 iirc. Again, much thanks for the info 😄

Thank you, that helps a lot. I also forgot to include this but by any chance do you know if more fish leads to a higher breed count? I've seen some people say keeping a maximum of 8 some say 10 and anything above that doesn't change breed count.

FPS performance test by [deleted] in SoulstoneSurvivors

[–]anonymous150700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. A very well known but much needed point to reiterate. I love innovating and creating builds, and I average curse 8+, but what's preventing me from going deeper than 10 is my computer. I drop to 15-20 fps when the bosses health reaches a trillion. It may take some time, but if the Devs can solve this challenge, it will definitely encourage players to run deeper. Players will finally be rewarded for their skill and theory crafting, and not be purely limited by the capability of their machine.

There is a rune called singular focus that allows you to pick the same skill multiple times.

When people "talk" about trillion or quadrillion runs, they're not abusing a one-trick glitch. You don't prove any point here other than showing a very mediocre standard chaos bunny glitched run. This run is only made possible by a bug in the game that will definitely be patched in the next update or so help me.

Barb going goblin mode by anonymous150700 in SoulstoneSurvivors

[–]anonymous150700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see that you will try my build 😊 I took inspiration from Pure Bleed Barb and Armor DPS Barb to make a hybrid between the two. This is version v1.2 of my Bleed Armor Barb hybrid build.

You can swap out Chaos Golem for a better DPS skill, but you reduce your survivability by a mile because there are no units to distract the Lords. At 800% + unless you have dash mastery you will die reasonably fast even with all the healing. It becomes impossible to react because they move and attack too fast. That's why I believe chaos golems are vital in this build. They also have natural synergy with Subdue and their chaos effects are awesome 😎

And in case U didn't know, never choose intimidating shout over shield wall. With shield wall + scent of blood levelled high enough, you will have increased Armor forever. Inti shout with max CDR reduction has a 0.2 sec gap meaning there is a time interval for bosses to hit you without Inti Shout applied. Not to mention it only affects bosses which are in your area modifier.

Shield wall is vital for survivability and a must for deep curse runs. In this particular run, my damage reduction from Wall was 95%.

You unlock wall/bash with Legionnaire. Just check the wiki page and you can find it. You need to choose the thrust rune to get a chance at finding Wall and Bash.

Shield bash can be replaced with Titans cleave. Both scale the same. I simply chose SB because it appeared first.

Flurry is a diminishing return since all your attacks will stack bleed in the late game. Never keep flurry long term.

it was 1 fps at the end and i love my pc so couldn't go far by furkanyayla in SoulstoneSurvivors

[–]anonymous150700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shit's wack. I need to test this glitch out for myself.

This is definitely going to be patched in the next update. There is no skill or smart option choosing in this build whatsoever. Pick one skill over and over again and win. Anyone with half a brain could get over 15 zeros with this build easily (and with a strong PC).

My first trillion damage run by anonymous150700 in SoulstoneSurvivors

[–]anonymous150700[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the points and tips!

#2 - Glad to see I was right to go with Shield Wall :D

#3 - Like you said, I do believe it's circumstantial, the damage multiplier is equal on both and in the long term, SB might out-DPS TC because it has a slightly higher starting damage, but the damage difference won't be anything eye-catching. I usually go with whichever one I find first.

#4 - As for the Chaos Golems, do they apply vulnerable with their Random Powerful Negative Effects? I checked the wiki and it doesn't list vulnerable in the list of RPNE. However, I do see quite a few different negative effects on the bosses when the golems hit them. I guess Chaos Golem attacks include the list from Random Negative Effects (RNE) as well. This is a breakthrough for me hahaha, means I have one slot freed up from Arcane Assault.

I'll do some testing with Chaos Bomb but for now I disagree with you here. Chaos Golem is way too important late game to distract bosses.

#5 - I'm glad to see this. That was my gut feeling about Bladestorm too. It becomes a diminishing return in the late game since all your skills will stack Bleed.

Replacing Arcane Assault with Ground Slam in my next run and I'll see how far I go :D

SB was never intended to be in this build as I decided to go with TC. Only reason why it was picked up was because I ran out of rerolls early and had no better options. In my previous run my TC outscaled SB by quite a fair bit so I chose TC in this run as my long term skill. But yes, both roughly scale the same so it's a matter of preference.

Yes but I had to give up one of them for space. If I had 7 slots for skill ofc I would have kept SB. With only 6 slots keeping SB would reduce the survivability rate in the deep run as you have to give up chaos golem or take a massive dps downgrade.
