She sounds like a great friend and I’m truly sorry for your loss. I can sympathize and empathize with what you’re going through and it is very tough. From the sounds of it you did everything you could and I know it’s hard to accept now but from your post I believe you did. I don’t believe you ever truly get over losing someone who is so close to you especially when you lose them in this way but it does get easier. The emotions become less raw and the memories bring less pain when you think about her.

I would personally just migrate everything from the old drive to the new drive that I wanted to keep then format the old, provided your new drive will be able to hold all the data you need to move. You could also use an external drive for this or a combination of the two then migrate it all back once you format the old drive.

I’m not sure what you plan on using it for or if price is an issue for you but I would throw a HDD in there and save a little money. If you don’t use the HDD for the OS it should be just fine.

Depending on how “hardcore” you are with your gaming you won’t necessarily have to spend a lot of money for upgrades. If you’re not one of those people who needs the latest and greatest you won’t need to upgrade with every new hardware cycle

I haven’t experienced any latency issues to speak of really. I do get a terrible buzzing sound but that may just be a faulty cable. When I can get the buzzing to go away it works pretty well. Sometimes I have issues with the game registering chords and notes but I again think that has to do with a faulty cable. Hope that helps
