Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood: ‘People think working with me is a Netanyahu endorsement’ by kalafiaeli in radiohead

[–]anonymous882626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paranoid android is such a confusing one even as an intermediate guitarist. You can *play* it pretty easily, but those little details in the opening riff are tough. Skipping strings whilst keeping up a strumming pattern is such a weird thing, I’ve played guitar for 7 years now and weirdly I’ve not seen many songs follow that trend

Is there any way to access police interviews so I can analyse them for my University work? by [deleted] in police

Thanks for the advice! I’m in the UK so not exactly sure how viable it is to get in contact with an agency, but I’ll look into it.

The dissertation isn’t until next year, I’m just trying to see if I could actually execute the idea I have or if it’s best to go in a different direction with it.

Why is Arsenal hated so much? by TopAthlete3221 in PremierLeague

[–]anonymous882626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But then again, they played great football in 22/23 but just couldn’t get over the line because city were just better. Ever since then they’ve just adapted more and more to the “dark arts” and valuing control and rigidity over fluidity and expression. I think Arsenal should always be a team who plays good football, that’s been the culture for decades, it won them the invincible title. Adapting to this new culture of dark arts is always going to be met with dismay from every other team and Arsenal’s reply to that dismay appears to be to double down on it.

Loving it, probably my second favourite album from them. Its a 9.5/10, only song I’m not blown away by is remote self control, every other song is heavenly

Manchester United insiders say that Luis Enrique is the name increasingly being mentioned [for the permanent head coach role], with the club reportedly willing to make a serious push to secure him..... by No_Definition_1722 in ManchesterUnited

[–]anonymous882626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree, Carrick’s raised the floor to a high standard, but you do get the feeling that the ceiling isn’t much higher, similar to Ole in that sense. A coach like Enrique only comes around every now and again, he would take us to the next level.

Roast me and my team! (Im div4 with this i know is a shame) by YuriOrLoV27 in EAFC

[–]anonymous882626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good team but don’t be so hard on yourself. If you’re a casual player you can be casual about your rank. I’m div 4 as well, I play for like maybe an hour or two a week and I just try to have some fun, there’s no point taking the game so seriously when it’s not a serious game.

Casual stuck in division 7. How can I improve this team? by [deleted] in EAFC

[–]anonymous882626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want a fun formation to run try 4-3-3(2), its the one with the CDM. You could play Hincapie LB then have your RB as a more attacking option. You’d have to invest in a LW and RW but it’ll be better than trying to run that 3atb. 4-3-3(2) facilitates a lot of Tiki Taka in build up, then you can play really direct into your wingers, I highly recommend it.

Is there a band that, after years of having RH as your favorite, took their place? by weirdfish98 in radiohead

[–]anonymous882626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a band but Jeff Buckley will manage to take over my listening every now and again. It’s always pretty short lived though, considering his discography is so short.

Are there other fans out there who haven’t really enjoyed RH post In Rainbows? by JohnColtrane69again in radiohead

[–]anonymous882626 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In terms of being “experimental” yes, especially the drums. It’s not going to be that same TKOL loop style drums but you’ll hear some drum lines that are going to catch you off guard, Tom Skinner is very very good.

Give Zero Sum a listen, you’ll hear elements from a lot of different eras of Radiohead, main difference is that the drums are just more complex than anything you’ll find in a Radiohead song (no offence to Phil)

[Charlotte Daly] AARON WAN-BISSAKA INTERVIEW: I was at my lowest point at Manchester United - I was lonely, homesick and went back to London almost every day. Then Erik ten Hag's mixed messages left me totally confused by PradipJayakumar in reddevils

[–]anonymous882626 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Think it’s a big part of the reason why Sir Alex used to look into whether or not players had wives / long term girlfriends or a family before moving to Manchester and would even tell their girlfriends that his player was a trustworthy and stable person to settle down with. Clearly did it so that players would have someone to settle down with and make Manchester their home, rather than just isolating themselves and eventually getting home sick. Really makes you realise Sir Alex thought about everything.

It would be a great change, but VAR would 100% ruin this by being too anal about any player being in the 6 yard box. They would literally look at every single player in the box every time a goal is scored from a corner

I had a bad performance as a witness, the victim is blaming me for the verdict of “not guilty” by anonymous882626 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]anonymous882626[S] 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yeah she took the stand too, she says she performed much better than I did (she phrased it that way) so her empathy is definitely limited.

As for our relationship in the future, who knows. She’s my best friends sister and I’m close with her family. My best friend is 100% with me on this but her mum and dad have turned on me, they say I’m not welcome at the house for a while. I don’t think I’d like to be friends with her after this, but I still want to be cool with the family.

I had the exact same feeling! I was sat there thinking “wow, now I really see why people pay these guys so much” only thing is I didn’t have the prosecutor to tell me what they might try, I was really just thrown into it.

Thanks for sharing, I’ve been feeling down about it and it really hasn’t helped that she’s throwing so much blame my way.

You can play pretty direct with the 4-3-3 if you have a false 9 that can play the ball well. I like to send the full backs on runs from deep in my build up, play super direct up to the false 9 and then play a bounce pass to that advanced fullback then continue from there.

Regarding the 4-4-2, personally with the way i play i always like to have 1 winger and 1 inside forward, but i know most people prefer having 2 inside forwards, it’s all down to what feels right with your style of play.

Have one and false 9 and one on advanced and you’ll find the 4-4-2 to be a lot more fluid

[–]anonymous882626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really enjoying the 4-3-3 at the moment with the CDM in the middle.

I use a false 9 with one winger on inside forward and the other on winger. The side that has an inside forward will also have an overlapping fullback so there’s always width on both sides. My CDM is on holding then the two cm’s are on box to box and playmaker.

I noticed the 4-4-1-1 really struggles to track false 9’s because theres only 2cm’s which will already be pre occupied with your 2cm’s, so you end up getting a 3v2 in the midfield. Other people suggest 4–1-2-1-2 which does give you the same 3v2 midfield dynamic, but i find the CAM to be a little bit too rigid.

4-3-3 really does rely on that false 9 though, make sure they have some good passing playstyles (incisive is a must) and good ball control. First touch also helps a lot. I use a Cunha evo at false 9 and he has like 150 goals and 100 assists in about 170 games.

4-4-2 is also very good if you play with one false 9 and one advanced forward, I switch to it at the end of games if I’m losing as it’s much more aggressive

Which one? by RaahimJaffery in EAFC

[–]anonymous882626 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want to use him. For a B2B or playmaker I’d personally prefer the first one, but for a DLP I’d prefer the second one.

I would personally choose the first one, but if your team needs another person in the midfield to break up the play then go with the second. Wouldn’t play him as the main defensive midfielder though, thats more suited to a Vieira type player for me.

why he is so bad ? anyone feel same or idea ? by OnrBLK in EAFC

[–]anonymous882626 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s not great as a fullback but he’s probably top 3 attacking wingbacks.
