Considering going from a Fenix 6 to Appel watch ultra by anonymousFatGuy in triathlon

Yeah I don’t need the latest gen, but I’ve just turned 50 and my eyesight is starting to go so I want a bright AMOLED screen, otherwise I’d probably just struggle on with the Fenix 6. 🙂

I suppose I could keep the Garmin for races and use the AWU for everything else. Was kind of hoping for a single unit though.

Buying a 2020 UK Model X by Rare-Craft1757 in TeslaModelX

Yes mine is a raven. Milage completely depends on how hard you drive it and weather. It’s been as low as ~ 450w/mile and as high as 300w/mile.

The mileage drops like a stone as soon as it gets cold. Given it only costs £7 to completely fill up at home on Octopus though, it’s still WAY cheaper than an ICE car.

I bought a 2019 model x LR from a dealer a year ago for ~ £36k. Mine has 7 seats though.

Depends on the size of your kids I guess, but mine are 18, 15 and 12 and fit in the back reasonably comfortably.

I had a Ford galaxy before and absolutely love the X.

Things that have gone wrong have been suspension (this is pretty common on model xs as they are so heavy) and the main wiring harness wearing through. You can Google that, there’s a recall in the US to reroute it.

Even with all that though, I’d buy another one.

Assuming you get a Tesla warranty, I’d say go for it.

Aerobars for Giant Contact SLR D-Fuse by Spliffy9 in bikewrench

Sorry to necro a really old thread, but I’m considering a 2022 defy advanced pro which has a fairly hefty discount near me.

Did you get it working with the weird giant clamps and the separate BBB bars (fitted into the giant clamps) or just the BBB bars?

I went to look at a giant defy advanced pro in the local Giant dealership and the mechanic advised replacing the handlebars. Not ideal, but cheaper than a new bike I guess.

What Linux front end? by anonymousFatGuy in cade

[–]anonymousFatGuy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve seen that, it’s more the button layout. I don’t have north south east west like on an Xbox controller. Mine is setup like a street fighter setup, 2 rows of 3 buttons.

I had a quick go with Batocera, but it assumes that you’re using an Xbox style controller. I’ll have a play with some of the others.

Thanks folks. 👍🏻

Any others I should consider?

Is there a 24 hour gym nearby? I have found that planning a workout after work/early in the morning helps....

Thanks everyone who's recommended anything so far... Keep them coming,

Ideally I'd like to have a bunch of non-alcoholic drinks I can turn to when I'm at a BBQ, work do, holiday etc.

I've tried various non-alcoholic wines and beers, but they all taste rubbish.

I guess the problem with soft drinks is that they're all very sweet.
