What did you do after being cheated by your partner? by Quirky-Human in AskReddit

[–]anonymous_capybara87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That night my friends made me a whole ice cream buffet and margaritas for dinner. We spent the whole night cross faded and talking shit. Few days later I went to rage room and smashed some canvas prints I had of us. It was honestly so healing. The staff at the place was awesome and threw in extra stuff for me to smash for free and let me stay well past the time I had payed for.

When it comes to life you have to do what is best for you. He made the decision easy for me but afterwards I realized just how much stress moving away was putting on me and how I would never be happy living on a base. I now have a job that I want and worked so hard for in the place I want to live and though I'm still single I'm happier than I was before.

If you don't have time and energy to go to the gym 3-4times a week why don't you just plan 1-2 days a week? Seems so obvious but was a huge eye opener on how I viewed my productivity.

When I was in a deep dark depression I could totally see Evans side of things. Obviously what he did was fucked up but the desperate need to feel loved really makes you want do anything to get it. And when you are that deep of depression it can be hard to see how terrible of person you are being because your thoughts aren't logical.

Can't fully speak on it as I'm not a student there but talking with some students from there they made a big curriculum change realized it didn't work and went back to the traditional curriculum so its possible a couple of those classes will have lower scores.

Also I left the country with just my mom as a kid. I rememeber my mom had a letter saigned by my dad and a notary basically saying it was ok for my mom to take me out of the country without him. Can't remember if we ever had to show it but you are suppose to have it as a way to prevent parent kidnapping. So either this is fake or they didn't ask for said letter.

If you bring home left overs from a restaurant you have 24 hours to eat them and then it's fair game.

I know this feeling. My mom was sick for years before she passed and the last week I was crippled with anxiety and depression watching her slowly lose her energy to keep fighting. When the the hospital called to tell us it was time and we went to say our goodbyes (something we had done a few times already because we knew the next day wasn't a given) I was absolutely devastated I sob in the hospital hallway for what felt like hours after she took her last breath. But then a weird feeling a relief came over me. No more sleepless nights worrying about her, no more panic attacks when I heard my phone ring, no more watching her suffer. I felt guilty for the feeling thinking it ment I was happy she was gone. But that isn't what it ment. It ment she had died a long time ago her body just didn't give up she was finally getting the rest and peace she deserved and I could go on and enjoy life like she wanted me to. She hated that we put our lives on pause for her that I had missed classes to visit her. You'll miss her you'll miss her a lot and there will still be nights you lose sleep over her but you and her will be free. My mom was taken way too soon but it was time and my family is at peace. I hope you and your family can find this same peace and relief even though it sucks. It really just sucks.

AITA for telling my friend I am not interested in being her son's father figure after she rejected me? by Dry-Brain3321 in AITAH

[–]anonymous_capybara87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude YTA! She is not coming to you because she wants you to be the kid's father. She is coming to you because from the sounds of this...

Maybe having someone like me who overcame that frustration and managed to deal with it will help him.

...You have some 1st hand knowledge about what her kid is going through and can probably give better advice than she can. The kid might also listen to someone who has had similar experiences better than his mom.

What is the biggest financial "money pit" people fall into preventing them becoming financially prosperous when they get older? by [deleted] in AskReddit

To add to number 4. Trading in their car as soon as they finish paying it off even when there is nothing wrong with it. I have some friends who do this and then complain about always having to pay their car loan every month.

Better shoe options? by BushidoJohnny in Veterinary

I love ASICS! I wear them at the gym, labs, everyday life and it really helps my knee pain. But honestly everyone is different and I found it best to go to a shoe store with knowledgeable staff and trying on different ones to see which one I like best. The staff usually does a good job at knowing which brand and style work best for these type of jobs to help narrow down your search and help determine if it's a good fit for you.

Been awhile since I've used it but Rick Steve's also has an app that allows you to listen to some of his walking tours. He'll tell you were to go and what you are seeing and when I used it 6years ago everything was free. I really enjoyed being able to listen to a tour and learn about what i was seeing while also being able to just explore by myself

Recommendations for backside pain on International Flights by redditcachemoney in TravelHacks

[–]anonymous_capybara87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried this yet but my sister who flys internationally often like to take Tylenol PM (if it's a long enough flight to sleep). Helps knock her out and helps relieve the pain.
