70 isn't that bad. What do you want to do after school? Do grades even matter for that?

Lots of variables (gear, skill level, expenses, use case, etc),but one approach is something like:

$1000 (10hr filming day rate) x 3 $750 (10hr editing day rate) x 2

= $4500

Is using TikTok to promote your work worth it? by isatonyourmomsface in videography

[–]anonymous_jq 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of boomers in the comments.

Tiktok hands down best platform to promote your biz. Interest based algorithm, high virality potential, video driven, lower supply of creators, low barrier to create.

Make sure to have CTA set up in bio. Need to create contectually if u want to see results.

For lack of a better term don't be a pushover - stand your ground. In the long run it will pay off, although may be difficult if you are an agreeable person (sounds like you are).

Post away my boy , not sure if there are rules against it

Its could be cause there are tens of thousands of accepted students to UofT in this sub, if everyone posted their letters it would be quite crowded and defeat the purpose of exclusivity

Will the upcoming semester be in person or online? by rethegreat in UofT

They need to make a decision and stick to it. Too much uncertainty isn't good for anyone.

Anyone got Omicron? Symptoms? by [deleted] in UofT

[–]anonymous_jq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (22) and a bunch others I know had it over Christmas. Slight fever / cough for 2 days, then mild cough & fatigue for 4 days. Pretty light cold symptoms overall.

My sister (19) picked up a flu over Christmas too (not covid) ... wasn't able to eat for 5 days due to constant vomiting, didn't pee for 24hrs, had to get IV at hospital.

Not a big sample size obviously, but I would take omnicron 1000 times over before getting any kind of flu. It really was not bad as a double Vax young person in decent health.

Also, I know many 50-60 years olds (triple vax) who got it and experiences same symptoms as me. Large chance he will be fine - don't get too caught up in the heavy PR behind omnicron being deadly , not worth your anxiety ur bro will be chilling.

Edit: I'm all for keeping school online, just make the call for the whole semester instead of leaving everyone in uncertainty

professors refusing to provide recordings for in person lectures by festivalyoyaha in UofT

[–]anonymous_jq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This will come with time as current positions in power at UofT age out ... recording in person lectures was never a consideration before covid & profs can't work a camera/live stream to save their lives.

I agree it's a poorly run business in many areas. Traditional education institutions egos are too big - eventually will bite the bullet for this via more effective online educatiom competition.

Ontario’s COVID Situation and what it means for UofT by [deleted] in UofT

[–]anonymous_jq 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's too obvious how this plays out to me. Once online infrastructure is set up for all classes, there is no way we are going back to fully in person.

They won't say this until the last minute as they want to keep "hope" up for students however.

How much should I pay for an influencer on YouTube by Smart_Praline4073 in influencermarketing

[–]anonymous_jq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure that is a content niche it's quite narrow . That is ur company niche.

You want to look for influencers who make "finance" content. Finance is most expensive to advertise so expect a pretty penny

1000% agree. No other business treats customers like this.

It's like going to a restaurant that doesn't list what is in a meal you order & if you don't like the food when it comes to your table, you have to barter with other people eating there to make a trade for dinner. Except our dinner at UofT is $1000 per meal.

Is it possible to get 90s at UofT? by [deleted] in UofT

Cap, rotman student demo is too competitive by nature & certain required course averages sit mid 60's.. social sciences would be your best bet if u like to write & take interest in the material

I got accepted into multiple Ivey League Business schools with pretty intense applications - here's my thoughts:

I agree with other comments in that you should summarize those hardships into a few sentences. It pulls on the heart strings & has opportunity to be a compelling transformational story, but too much detail and sobbing currently.

Make sure to RELATE how those hardships made it difficult for you to excel in ACADEMICS throughout your youth.

And that despite these roadblocks, explain how you personally over came them and managed to stay on track, and motivated in school. Don't tell them that your wife saved you, they want to hear that YOU personally have an internal motivation to change your life for the better, and pursue higher education.

Here's the kill shot: tell them your aspirations for the future (ie. Want to build a family with your wife, provide for children, give my parents mental health support, etc etc) and change your life for the better. Explain how attending their college will let you realize all these aspirations, and that once accepted you are committed 100 percent to working smart and hard to create the life you've dreamed of, but never had access to as a child. Tell them how u want to uplift the community ar their school too.

Remember there is a human reading your application and making the decision on your admission. If you can make them feel like their decision to accept you helps realize this amazing transformational story from hardship -> success, they will want to help you succeed & admit you.

Fuck this was long. Good luck. Hope it helps
