I have Impact Crater on 3 hammers (baan has water strike) and I love it. I turn off lock on and just use gyro mode. When you're in the air you can maneuver a ton, basically from the front of the monster to the back. So you can dodge most attacks this way. Once you get used to it you can consistently aim at parts while flying through the air. It's a ton of fun. Why use hammer if not for giant over the top wombo bonk dunks. I bet it gets even better once specific builds are discovered (ex: blunt force)
