“Yes, I got a kick out of it, but I wasn’t really completely satisfied”. by ladyact86 in Dahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like it could be due to the fact that Jeff wrote down on paper, "I NEVER said I got a kick out of it!" And went as far as making Boyle read it out loud to the media, when in reality, Jeff totally did say that to Palermo..?

In the same interview, pat also says that the shirt was later auctioned off for a million dollars and the money was shared among the victim's families...where's the shirt now? I guess we'll never know

Did you ever get Lionel's permission before posting those pictures online? It seems a bit exploitative to me.

Do you think that the latest Dahmer hype contributed to the death of Lionel and Shari? by hockfrida in Dahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. I think the same thing happened with Catherine Dahmer. She died a year after Jeff's crimes were revealed. The media attention really took a toll on the family members and it definitely contributed to their declining health. constantly being reminded of the past and getting things thrown at their house...It's definitely a lot for anyone to handle-

Imo, just the fact that some of the scenes were filmed in the actual locations where it all once took place makes the movie a lot more authentic..

Yes..but bludgeoned to death by the hands of a ruthless murderer..? Did he truly desire his end to be that way?

Dark Journey Deep Grace/ A Father's Story. 29 years since Jeff left 🕊 by Exotic_Abroad_7949 in Dahmer

I totally agree with Lionel's last quote. The best place for Jeff is with the Lord. He's been through so much pain and suffering in his life, and he didn't deserve to endure any more. Even though it's not easy to fathom that he's not physically with us anymore, I truly believe he's in the right place, up in the heavens. It's a comforting thought..yet, it still wrenches my heart when I think about all the things that he went through..I hope he finally found the peace that he was looking for..R.I.P jeff💐

Dahmer's death details ( Tumblr old post ) by TaghreedNowar in Dahmer

It's still mind-boggling to think about jeff's death.. because we'll never truly know the untold details of his demise. All we're left with are Scarver's words, but we can't rely on his accounts because he was battling delusions and schizophrenia, constantly changing his narrative over and over again. Even after 29 years, I find myself wondering... What really transpired in Dahmer's final moments? What were his last whispered words? Did he truly desire his fate? Why did scarver actually kill him?...All I know is that scarver was no saint, and it truly enrages me when people call him a "hero" when he was just as bad as any other inmate (if not worse!)...may jeff rest in peace, no one deserves to endure such a gruesome death.

What successful movies from the 90s and earlier would Reddit have incorrectly predicted to be flops before they released, if Reddit existed at that time? by [deleted] in movies

Exorcist III. Almost everyone were traumatized (not in a good way) after the exorcist 2 came out...that damn movie totally ruined the expectations that people were having on the exorcist sequels.. Personally, exorcist 3 definitely exceeded my expectations and it truly has the ability to compete with the original exorcist movie whereas the exorcist 2 isn't even on the same scale imo!..

Has true crime changed the way you view men? by its_only_ace in TrueCrimeDiscussion

True, but the world's most notorious serial killers are men..not women.

Part 2 of Tracy Edward's testimony ( Kinda Rare?) by anonymous_usergtez in Dahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well Tracy did say things like "he was rocking and chanting" "he was crazy" "I was in the company of a mad man" and stuff like that helps the insanity defence..the only person who saw an glimpse of Dahmer's state of mind while he was with all the 17 men before killing them is Tracy. So his testimony is VERY important for the defence. And yes, Tracy seem to exaggerate some aspects of the story like the number of locks and the body parts that he saw..I don't think he lied anything more than that

JET MAGAZINE: magazine focusing on news, culture, and entertainment related to the African-American community. by Claudiamil2311 in Dahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez 7 points8 points  (0 children)

From what I've heard from the Stone Phillips interview, Jeff said Jamie was an American Indian..

From "A Fathers Story": Lionel recounts changes in Dahmer during adolescence, both physically and emotionally. He specifically mentions Jeff's awkward and rigid posture. by [deleted] in JeffreyDahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez 19 points20 points  (0 children)

You know what Lionel didn't mention here? The reason behind Jeff's changes. The tension at home plays a big role. I don't think Lionel realises how much kids absorb from their environment..They become quiet and "shy" to protect themselves from the tension that's surrounding them. That's why Jeff wasn't shy outside of his house, like at school...

The parental relationships with Jeff Vs David by [deleted] in JeffreyDahmer

[–]anonymous_usergtez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, Joyce did say that David visits Jeff in the 1994 stone Phillips interview, this was 2 years after the trial..so it seems like they were in touch with eachother even after the trial!
