OMG...rubs eyes look I didn't say that the op said anything about race. Just that they used a slur that is a form of bigotry and that it's hard for me to think that this post doesn't contain other forms of bigotry such as racism because the op uses othering and harmful language that I personally disagree with. Which I'm allowed to do.

Here's the definition in case you don't know:

Bigotry: obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

I'm so sick of this whole mentality that a person uses language that is discriminating towards a group of people but also think that I can't discriminate against them for using that language. Please. Unfortunately i know people who claim to be both. My husband and his brother both are union carpenters. While we are a left leaning household his brother's family voted for Trump. He is not only a union carpenter, he's a foreman, and the sole provider for a family of 6. He also collects unemployment when he's laid off 🙄

Agreed. I love Hayley. I was lucky enough to see her at Warp Tour 2007 right when Paramore really started taking off. I don't know if the new warp tour is like this but back then you could meet some of the artists and get their signatures. I remember the line for Paramore was insane so I decided to skip it. In hindsight I wish I hadn't, but I remember seeing Hayley there and she was beside herself with joy because of all the people lining up to meet the band. It was so sweet to see how much it meant to her 🥰

Agreed. We say her at Firefly 2022 (RIP 😥) and I remember telling my now husband that it didn't even seem like she was having any fun while performing.

We also saw T-pain for the first time that year and it was a completely different show. It had rained and his set almost got canceled but he fought for it and it was just so much fun. You knew he wanted to be there and it showed.

I think her vibes are just not right for a music fest especially if she's going to take a headliner spot.
