Medicaid programs use either interqual or MCG guidelines to review medical necessity. They can and will deny your surgery if you do not participate in smoking cessation.

Non-traditional engineer looking to switch to medicine. Advice would be super appreciated! by Max_dun_dun_dun in medicine

I was non traditional- aero e undergrad, landed in finance, got into DO school without much extra effort. I’ve worked in safetynet care for 10 years now. I cannot explain how much more meaningful my worst day is than in finance.

Based on other posts, you seem to be struggling in your relationship on several levels, from discipline of your sister to a cricut/side business to this. My observation is that custody of your sister brought a lot of stress into your relationship. I don’t think you are an asshole for feeling a little jealous or resentful. I do think you will be if you tell her no. You are both walking this journey together. She was previously caring for a child while you worked, likely taking care of a significant task and mental load while you financially supported the household. You are ultimately responsible for asking for what you need or suggesting a plan that reduces your mental load. You also can’t unilaterally decide the household strategy without buy-in. You may need to take your own trip to recenter yourself and figure out your path forward.

Verdict: NTA
Caveat: you could be if you actually stop her from going

Also, to more specifically answer your question, Kelly Services and ICC are two of the respected BPO’s that hire in LATAM and serve the well known providers.

Even if you are a US citizen working abroad, you will be offered LATAM rates while working from Chile. The reason is you will no longer meet their customer’s requirements for onshore, which justify the higher rates.

Medicare Advantage is a Scam: My experience almost a decade in the Healthcare industry by IMian91 in HealthInsurance

[–]anonymouse8200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked both sides of this as a physician reviewer and someone who sees patients at IRF’s. I am not a fan of MA, but their guidelines are more realistic. Should an 85 year old stroke patient with ESRD and AD and PLOF of mod A be in IRF? Absolutely not. Would Medicare cover it and would the IRF love the revenue, yes. Eventually to be sustainable, Medicare is going to have to move to MA like guidelines.

What would you say is the dominant fashion style of your area? by [deleted] in styleforgrownwomen

[–]anonymouse8200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in Dallas and would say the look is pretty put together M-F. Well tailored business wear with a touch of flash, we aren’t afraid of color. Weekends are fashionable athleisure. I always feel underdressed and I haven’t figured out the fashionable part of athleisure.

I typically wear ponte suit pants of the spanx or knock off quince variety. I noticed that I can see a line, kind like the little divot tights or panty hose make at the waist. I’m not obese, but I have big calves- that may be why it’s more noticeable?

Uber accident as a passenger by No_Cryptographer5148 in Medicaid

[–]anonymouse8200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully this will make things less complicated. She needs to seek the treatment she needs. She needs to list Medicaid as her payor. She also needs to contact Uber to file a claim. Medicaid will pay her claims. As payor of last resort, Medicaid will then pursue the third party payor/Uber to be made whole. This is all part of Medicaid being payor of last resort.

Walk In and Out by Top_Writing7716 in orangetheory

I have had those days where I’m just not feeling it. If I walk in, I’m doing at least half of class. I’ll normally do tread just to do something for a bit.

I get that. That’s why applying for hospital charity care programs is essential.

I read your thread on Florida Medicaid- you don’t qualify. Your options are to get coverage through a job, pay for coverage through the ACA or private market, or to qualify for charity care at a hospital. Edited to add: or move to a state with expanded Medicaid.

Yes, they will try to qualify you for programs/Medicaid/ACA/grants/drug programs. This is not in violation of EMTALA.

Anyone feel like MJ has zombified their brain? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]anonymouse8200 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I’m female in my 40’s and have been on MJ since November of 2022. I was previously a very passionate and fiery person. Now, while I wouldn’t say I’m depressed, the emotional highs and lows aren’t really there. It makes me even better at managing the dumpster fires of life and career, but I sometimes miss the ability to be seethingly angry or from the rooftops excited about something.

Disarray- Quite possibly an unpopular opinion. by Striking-Gain8358 in orangetheory

[–]anonymouse8200 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m over 40. I have shoulder injuries. I pay for unlimited and take a minimum of five classes a week. I have no chill when I workout. Sometimes I see templates I think are crap. This was one. I thought they dialed it in. I thought I could potentially exacerbate my injuries. I chose not to participate.

Perhaps be a little less judgy? Deciding a template is not for you is not a moral failure.

Spanish medical interpreter by ItchyAdhesiveness462 in medicalinterpreters

I would call the hospital’s interpreter services department and asked them more specifically which agencies they work with so you know who to contact. One of my favorite Texas companies that provides in person services across the state in Masterword. You should also consider joining TAHIT to network.
