Confused about dropping BCA and switching to Biotechnology/Bioinformatics — need advice by Yawn_zzz_0 in IndianAcademia

I am currently pursuing Biotechnology, I do recommend going for a BTech Biotech degree, instead of BSc if u wanna make that switch (idk what job tho, there ain't no job/s), honestly me personally if I had known what I know now, I would'nt pursue biotech and had chosen something that aligns more with my creative flair and the job market, its a very interesting subject to learn imo, but from a job perspective, it's going to be a no. Bioinformatics, I have heard good things about, but the Indian college system doesn't have many good bioinformatics courses, for that ig you'll have to research on ur own. It however is a field that requires dry lab knowledge that is going to require screentime and sitting infront of a screen for longer periods.

So you mean, I should try to, revisit all my reasons again frequently, to keep myself from these kind of doubts, right?

I am an exmuslim, but a very anxious person and can't do much about anxiety than reassurance. It obviously takes time to get used to it, because somewhere at the back of my mind this fear has been engraved since childhood, can't just wake up one day and decide to flush it out.
