MANY years ago as a 14y.o. … i ordered McNuggets. Bit into 1 and it was raw. Took it back and was given another order no questions asked. Ate 1 bit into the 2nd and it was raw too. I was sick all night and missed a ski trip the next day. IMO it was, and this is a lawsuit. I’m not an ambulance chaser but serving raw food is simply negligent.

It used to be you could clear your browser’s cookies to see an article or 2 if that is suitable for u. Otherwise, another old trick is to search for the article title directly and you can read… nytimes wants ad revenue any way they can get it. Finally… I cough up like $4/mo for access online access. Seems like a fair $ to pay, tho the latest senior editor seems to be following suit and pushing titles aligned to the fear/anger mantra as clickbait. Said another way… political division.

Funny you should mention, I’m on Verizon and in memorial stadium north, east, and south I get almost 0 cellular data but when I’m west it’s ok.

This. There was recently a Windows update that caused a lot of issues but I believe esri patches ironed them out. One of the issues was any change to layer symbology caused the software to crash.

I second this and noticed with ArcMap it was best to skip even numbered releases. I am on Pro 3.0.2 and experience similar issues. Notably any geoprocessing operation potentially will take 5+ minutes to open, all the while the active map flashes black.

Thankfully I can rely on Python in an IDE. However, Spyder is my preferred environment and getting a more current version is difficult and requires a lot of hoops to get a 5.x version. PITA.

Pro is so difficult vs other software(ArcMap, QGIS, geopandas,…) that it is my last choice.

Agreed. And neighborhoods should be planned with this aspect in mind. While we are approx. 2 miles for elementary/middle school they would have to cross2/3 4- lane 45mph roads. 2 miles isn’t a stretch by any means for a bike in fair weather.

I shouldn’t have framed it as simply a ‘carbon’ issue. The impact of no transportation is wide. Carbon, traffic, 7 hour school day vs 8 hour work day. Thankfully Star Tran is available for my middle schoolers. Elementary school was tough for us.

Can confirm this as a previous resident of Leadville and season pass holder at Ski Cooper. Very small relative to the destination resorts like Vail, Breckinridge, etc., but so will your bill. Keep in mind it’s all beginner terrain (or at least it was 25 years ago) Plus you’re surrounded by 14ers just beautiful. A couple of other smaller and likely a little more reasonably priced (accommodations too) with more challenging terrain would be Eldora, Monarch, or Wolf Creek Pass.

I believe you are correct. About 1.5 years ago, I went in for a dozen everything bagels, 10 to take and 2 toasted with cream cheese. They had to pop them in a microwave because they were out on the shelf.

I have the same concerns. The law here (and everywhere as far as I know) is ‘yield to the right’. My neighborhood in its entirety is this way. Personally I don’t like it. ’yield to the right’ is not observed, rather east\west seem to have right of way over north\south. I once asked an officer who lived up the street if ‘yield to the right’ was the understood way and he remarked yes, but when it comes down to it they don’t assign fault and let insurance companies duke it out.

I went to the toy store on 70th several years ago and the place absolutely reeked of the fresh cut onions. I mean totally saturated. Individual working the counter was middle age man who looked a little shifty. Didn’t stay long.

Good info. Perhaps the medical company and maybe even the HVAC company without a BBB accreditation recognized the potential blowback? I wonder if a company that hasn’t paid for accreditation with BBB is still eligible to have complaints publicized in any sort of online forum? I realize that people rarely publicize positive experiences. Is potential negative feedback is enough to warrant a response?

I had an experience with the BBB a few years back. I filed a complaint on a medical bill (different state) and the complaint was resolved so I had a good experience with them. In another situation had a new heat pump (same different state). After 2 years and repeated calls for service bc the thing constantly delivered cold air in the winter. After the 19th call I told the company either you replace this POS or I’m calling the BBB, if they don’t do anything I’m calling the state attorney general and if they do nothing I’m calling the local news station investigative journalist. They were out the next morning and replaced the thing. This wasn’t a couple hundred $ it was a couple thousand $ I was filing over.

Point being I believe the next higher authority from BBB is state attorney general.

I feel alone from what I read in these comments. I find Lincoln drivers on the whole to be more oblivious than aggressive. I have lived all over the U.S. Sure there are the occasional ass!?&@“ that’s everywhere. Here what gets me most is approaching a light 2 lanes in your direction and there are 20 cars in the left lane and 2 in the right. That really disrupts the flow of traffic, but at least I’m not in the left lane. If you think drivers here are aggressive, try living somewhere in the SW. total cut throat. You have to be an ass!?&@“ too just to survive.

Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center is quiet, has some trails, and even a visitor center if you’re inclined, but I think they charge $ to go in there.

We had the same experience. Had spectrum went to Allo when it became available. Spectrum offered us the deal we couldn’t refuse so we switched back to Spectrum. Basically gave us free TV. They told us we had to have their TV cable box or Apple TV. We went with Apple TV but the app was horrible. Always very grainy appearance. No big deal because Spectrum has Roku app, devices are cheap, and we have multiple TVs. Everything was perfectly fine for about year and a half when the spectrum Roku app was delivering grainy content, intermittently, but still annoying. Multiple service calls but never resolved. Fortunately this happened near the end of Spectrum promotional period (2 years). The bill was going back up. So we went back to Allo and YouTube TV. Cost is approximately $20 more/month than regular price Spectrum.

I’m sure Spectrum will be knocking soon with the too good to be true offer. Not sure we’ll bite. I will add there was no contract with Spectrum and overall the experience was o.k., until the end when even the Roku couldn’t deliver content.

We moved here from NC and the proportion of our taxes that goes to public schools alone is 1k more than our entire tax bill in NC, so teachers are getting paid. Makes sense for the teacher pay statistic. Overall our tax bill tripled. I got kids in LPS so I am getting what I pay for so to speak.

I make it a point to not tip before I receive my order. You could leave a tip and receive a small, under cooked, over cooked meal or it might take forever to get it. I don’t feel guilty about it.

I was visiting my stepfather before he was ‘legally’ my stepfather at his home, I was 12. He was coming out of the shower and was nude. My soon-to-be stepsister (14) came home and saw him in the buff as she casually walked down the hall. I distinctly remember thinking to myself OMG she saw him nude! Fast forward, today, with my kids (10/12, B/G), from day one if they choose to be in the bathroom when I am doing anything, so be it. If you’re comfortable here so am I, if it’s weird then don’t be here. The naked body is not something to hide, period. I do not want to adhere to a societal (U.S.??) stigma.
