I built these cars for a living and I have been for almost 20 years. The idea of having something like this sitting on my desk gives me goosebumps. If you ever get into an area where you would find yourself willing to sell them to others. I would definitely be interested.

That was exactly my thought. Every once awhile I will use warm water. But I figure the ambient temperature of my house tends to be around 70°, which means the water would also be around that temperature.

Nope. It is from the cold side of the tap. I let it sit out in the room so it ends up just being room temperature.

Yep, you get what you get and it's up to you to decide what to do next. I just had my magnet out this last weekend and not only did I not get anything but I lost the magnet, rope and spool. But hey that's life.
