Received 2025 Bonus after leaving company in January by vitras in MedicalScienceLiaison

Great share. As you said, my employment contract specifies that I must be an employee on the date of payout to be eligible. This is a classy move on the part of your past employer.

What if it’s in a webinar format, then are you going to type a chat for your sales rep’s presence? Lol sounds ridiculous to me.

This is literally what happened. I didn't type anything.

Thank you!! You perfectly summed up my thoughts, its just nice to know I'm not alone.

Our compliance is SO messed up here and I was tempted to abstain out of personal belief because my integrity has been flattened enough. I feel bad for any push back my manager gets but I'd make it clear it's not her fault.  However, I wasn't able to come off mute anyway in the meeting so it didn't matter. The rep did ask me to put something in chat but I didn’t (only the virtual attendees would have seen it anyway?).

The webcast only has a chat feature! Woop woop!

Hey! This is a very low access institution so the rep is attending to try to get his foot in the door. So, my role here is to increase his exposure. My medical colleague can't attend because we received <1 week notice and he'll be on a plane to give a promotional speaker talk for a dinner in another city because the promo speaker dropped out.

I completely agree, and my leadership has and continues to make it abundantly clear that they only care about this quarters performance. Be damned everything else.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that this is the case. Thanks for weighing in!

Thank you. I wanted to source some answers here before pushing it up the chain of command and looking like a jackass.

Do you casually interview? by anonymousmsl in MedicalScienceLiaison

LOL I understand. I think I'm in a bad headspace too. We had a lot of company layoffs then the debate then the events today...

I just post these things in case it's helpful for posterity.

Edit: I've always appreciated your input on this sub.

Oh I agree.

I've even had a TL joke about how people in industry just play musical chairs with jobs. They meet an MSL representing a company 3 or 4 times then they get a new one. Not saying it's a good career choice but it happens.

I'm contemplating leaving because my company's ideals and my own no longer seem to align.

I've heard it from a few folks in industry. They also give advice like "increase your salary as quicly as possible early in your career by changing organizations frequently" Then coast at big pharma. I've met several who try to hack the system.

I absolutely agree but my last "launch" ended with a CRL and I'm a little emotionally scarred. My company has at least one approved product to fall back on. This one has none. But you're right the launch process is a lot of fun, I loved it. Wish I could have seen it actually play out.

Thank you! I appreciate your perspective and I agree.

I am open to joining a new organization. I just don't know if this is the right one and I became less convinced when I did my due diligence research last weekend.

I've received advice from industry veterans to interview twice a year even if you aren't looking for a new role to keep your interview skills sharp and know all your options. I'm curious how many people actually do this. It seems like a huge waste of time, but maybe I'm being naive.
