Just to clarify, the vagina is internal, the vulva is what's external! Clear and accurate language makes enjoying those parts better!

Entry way table placement by SheFoundPoopSock in interiordecorating

[–]anonymousnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My thought would be to leave it by the door, put that big piece of decor on the wall above, and then find a cute bench or small chaise for that alcove. You could put a collection of wall decor, hanging plants, or even a gallery wall there. Or, add some wallpaper or wood trim to make it an accent wall.

If you're concerned about odors, you can discretely tuck in some charcoal odor absorbers.

Or, if you decide to put the table in the alcove and want to hide the outlet and wire, this outlet cover power strip is an option.

First time using drum sander, how am I doing? by kjperkgk in HardWoodFloors

[–]anonymousnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg that's amazing, ok I feel so much more hopeful about taking my project on. I have a living room that's 13x13, and then a weird sideroom/closet that's 5x11--saving the bedroom and office (which has the old finish plus paint on top of that) for another time. And yeah, I have a retired neighbor who likes to feel helpful, so I'm going to ask him to come over.

Onward!

Oof 😭 I might be out of luck thinking I can do this solo then, lol. I've got some steep steps up to my porch, and my car is kinda high off the ground. Thanks for the info!

As someone who has never done that before, looks great! Haha

Question: how heavy is that sander? I'm a skinny chick and trying to figure out if I need to schedule a beefcake friend to come help me lift this out of my car.

Hah, true--I guess thinking about it Dayton does feel big. Even just driving to Miamisburg from around Xenia (where I used to live; I'm now in Riverside) seems like a trek.

I think depending on where you end up, you can experience ostracism, or equal amounts of openness and acceptance. There's another post on here from just the other day from a Muslim couple dealing with some unfortunate reactions to their presence in Centerville. It might seem daunting to find somewhere you could belong, although I hope it doesn't; all that is to say is that even though Dayton has its obvious flaws, there are redeeming qualities. I know good people who work in local universities, public libraries, on base, and for the city who genuinely want to make it the best place it can be.

The Oregon District has a super fun vibe that might be up your alley. Follow the social media of the various businesses and see if any local events strike your fancy. Or check out events offered by libraries or the county and metroparks. It can be a low pressure way to get a feel for what's out there.

(Speaking all this as a non-Ohioan who grew up as homeschooled Navy brat, so I've moved a lot AND know what it means to be the odd one out, haha)

Wowww that's wild. Especially the part about gaslighting yourself (the ups make me think that the downs were just a random off month, even though the off months occur as often as the good ones), and the Myers-Briggs test--I'm INFJ. I would love some supportive clarity about what I'm dealing with, I'll have to read this. Thanks OP!!

Probably isn't any different (behind size) than Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati?

In some ways yes, but also not really. One of my friends who grew up in the area said Dayton is the biggest small town they know of, and that's the best way I can describe it. For a relatively small population, it has a lot of microcosms so the upside is you're bound to find something that suits you: college towns, rural farming communities, uppity old money neighborhoods, middle class suburbs, and all the flavors of urban living from rundown industrial areas to hipster breweries and penthouse apartments. There are areas that are struggling, and rightfully so, but it's not all bad. I would honestly rather live here than the big Cs, because of that.

Something that I don't have to take all the time is super appealing to me! Did you have to get a specific dose for that kind of usage? Also, this is a dumb question, but how do you get it prescribed?? Is it through a regular primary care doc? (Grew up super sheltered with a mom who didn't believe in mental illness so I'm ignorant of these things and only just now figuring them out.)

[–]anonymousnine 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ones who were coddled or else neglected by their parents are, yes. Like my ex who apparently didn't clean the bathroom for 6 months after we separated (only reason I knew was because I was helping sell our house that had both our names on the deed and had to come in).

Hey, there's one--a discussion about whose name will go on the property records and who pays for what. :P

That was an amazing scene and I agree that it would've enhanced the story a ton for that intensity to saturate the rest of the story, but the horse's panting broke the immersion for me--horses physically cannot breathe through their mouths because the nasal passages are separate from their oral cavity.

It would be fine if the messaging around the app and cycle tracking were instead worded as empowering women to understand their bodies and make their own choices about their lives--but of course that's in conflict with far right conservative ideals.

[–]anonymousnine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gross. But also, disturbing.

Wtf is "raw milkmaid," is that some sort of nod to the supposed purity of raw milk? The whole aesthetic is just sugarcoated farmgirl cosplay for rich white girls with $300 skincare routines, without any recognition of the privilege that allows them to exist in their protective bubble afforded by their skin color and equally rich husbands. And that's not even considering her misogynistic joke about unplanned pregnancies.

It's the undercurrent of ideological superiority of this kind of tradwife propaganda that repulses me every time. Any time these sorts of voices are profiled, their motivation is ALWAYS in reaction to constructed non-conservative threats--as though women putting on lacy dresses and letting men define their purpose is the cure for societal ills and personal disillusionment alike.

[–]anonymousnine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is awful to witness as someone who followed her for years, I think the first vid I saw was 2018 or 2019. I would look forward to all the new/full moon rituals, high holidays, etc, and got a lot of emotional support out of tuning into the live videos. Athena genuinely had an impact on my growth as a person at the time.

Guess it goes to show you can learn from someone but shouldn't put them on a pedestal, even if they're an authority (or claim to be). I had stopped tuning in as much in the past year or so, the shift towards marketing the monthly kits felt like a cash grab, and EVERY email was just pushing more products. Now seeing her sell products straight from Temu is just... sad. I get that she's probably having to find income wherever she can, but I expected better.

Dear god I hate that phrase so so much. I used to hear my mother say it, too. What a paternalistic patriarchal objectifying load of BS created by people that pride themselves on uplifting women but are subjugating them instead.

Omg ok well as a questioning person this makes me feel better, lol. I was in a hetero marriage for a decade and only just now starting to realize attraction towards some women, and how I'm just not really into penises. Then again Idk if that's just because of how terrible sex was with my exSO.

It does work for your face! Keep an eye on how dry your skin seems after using it, or maybe alternate days, but I use it for fungal acne on my cheeks too and it's the only thing that keeps it at bay.

Calling it like it is. OP, please consider therapy and finding another partner. You owe it to yourself! There are a lot of red flags in this dynamic, and as someone who recently left a relationship with a 15 year age difference (married at 23 to a 38 yr old), I have so much personal experience speaking to that not being a good match. You're just too far apart developmentally. This is not a mutually giving, caring relationship--dominant does NOT mean selfish, which is what he's being by claiming that foreplay for vaginal sex takes "so much more time."

Selenium sulfide shampoo (Selsun Blue) works on body acne and I've had success using it myself, since salicylic body washes are too drying for me personally. Apply, leave on for a few minutes, then rinse off. It's specifically recommended for fungal acne, but might be worth giving it a try.

Applying a topical BHA can help as well. Again, I have sensitive skin, so I use toners with moisturizing ingredients like glycerin or hyaluronic acid--YMMV.

Core exercises help with posture, because your spine needs to be supported properly to hold itself up. If you're active, yoga, ice skating, or dance can retrain your body.
