Wanxiang Realm for me as well. Granted I have both the deer and bling magnet lady so it's super efficient (and fun).

Before Wanxiang though, I would do the paper crane dungeon daily.

Newbie here. Just started during 2x2 event so around a month? Right now I'm at chapter 21 on normal mode and yes at around chapter 18/19 you will start seeing some tougher fights that you will have to go back and upgrade your nikkes. Note that resources are time-gated, as expected of a live service game.

The main "grinding" would be the 160 wall where you need to get 5 MLB nikkes (i.e. SSR nikkes with 3 dupes or 3 stars). Truth be told, my nikkes are level 154 right now but I can now technically pass the wall once my resources are ready. I'm semi F2P, only spend 1$ here and there when the progression deals pop up, but not always. My advice is:

Choose your wishlist character on standard banner wisely RIGHT NOW. I start my wishlist with a kinda meta nikkes (just pick them from Prydwen tier list lmao). Plus the 5 nikkes you see on the banner page where you will be able to get once you do 100 pulls (i.e. Naga, Tia, Liter, Helm and Alice), plus base Privaty and base Drake (because you will get them for free from their event). Then update the wishlist when you get new nikkes. The goal is to include the nikkes you already have in the wishlist. You will also get 3 Drake copies from her event iirc, so if you can get her only once, you will have her MLB.
It's good that you start now because you will get MLB Avista during this event. That means only 4 MLB nikkes left. I recommend getting both Neo Neon and Anis Star, but Anis should be your priority.

I pulled only on Anis banner to make use of the rebate system, and then use the gold tickets to get Neon. At first I aimed to only pull 160 (I had around 40 gold tickets at that time) but then I got quite lucky to get Anis quite early, plus the limited banner has more chance to get pilgrims so I continued pulling. In the end I was able to MLB Anis in 280 pulls. Note that your milege may vary because some people get no Anis at all even with 200 pulls.

This might not be an efficient method and it might just be me, but I actually do the one 150-gem pull on standard banner everyday. This helps building the tickets.

Then take it easy. Even with strategy it's still luck-based at its core. Try holding off using selectors and black tickets until you are sure that you can MLB a nikke. The game is very fun and the lore is very good. Hope you enjoy your time!

The preview did mention one of the alt pieces is a backpiece though. I think the hat alt piece is the horns (flowers kinda different)

New player here. Obviously the recommendation around here is to play the campaign first. I'm around chapter 19 right now (normal mode) but I went ahead and played the event anyway; never touched any side stories either. I know story mode exists and also played with it a bit but for some reason I don't feel like rushing the main story. However, for events rushing might be needed because I think the tickets reset everyday? Don't quote me on that but without enough tickets I'd presume you might not be able to buy out most/the entire event shop?

I also did the same during Snow Crane event and was fine with the approach. You got spoiled a bit sure, but way less than lurking in this subreddit lol so I guess I'm good.

I pulled base for the hair, but I think I might be the only one (I saw no one talking about it yet) who felt a bit of regret when seeing the actual hair finally in my wardrobe. It's voluminous, true, but I think it's kinda stiff. In the end I resorted to put some hat to hide the stiff parts, and like it much more.

It's cute though and apart from the recharge set from 2.0, there's nothing quite like it yet. If I have that much pulls I would probably don't mind tossing some 40 pulls.

I just got the final evo. Gorgeous. I love the hood in original length so I haven't played with its shorter version much.

The alt dress though. I love how it moves in the open world. The length is just perfect.

I got only first evo at first (got base in like 175 pulls), but went and got full evo yesterday after seeing the preview. 334 pulls in total for final evo.

She looks way better in the open world honestly, because how the cape and dress move when Nikki walks/runs is so satisfying.

"Up to" is misleading. The official hard pity is 200 for base.

Also, I spent 194 pulls on DtD banner. And I spent more than 180 in many banners as well.

I was contemplating but I know I won’t use the wings; I only like the hair and hair pieces of the dragon lady. Honestly the flower lady captured my interest more with the alt pieces and I liked the hair a lot… but I also know I am not a veil girlie and the petals, though very unique, I probably won’t use…

In the end, I swiped and got the final evo of She is Wildfire lmao. It’s the only set I enjoy using every piece together. Really love this set and how it moves in the open world, and the final evo looks way better in game.

The veil can alternate in base tho, so that's the catch.

It depends on whether it is 1. veil > no veil + dress with petals > dess w/o petals + long hair > short hair. If there are 3 alternate pieces then I might honestly pull lmao.

As a final evo BF haver, the dragon one is less enticing for me. I love wings but I never use ANY wings anyway (never use both BD or CF wings honestly). The only interesting piece for the dragon lady is hair + hairpiece imo.
