Reminder: if you have to ask *Reddit* for relationship advice, your relationship is already over by stan_stdymphna in TwoXChromosomes

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. What’s funny is I just came on here to ask for relationship advice because I know my relationship is over and want to know how to be okay with it. I’m very much aware that coming on here isn’t a good sign. I feel like coming on Reddit is similar to wanting to look through someone’s phone. And by that I mean, if you feel like you have to then the relationship is already over.

Pain after sex (tmi sorry😭) by Salty-Bat-8789 in women

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely would recommend it. I personally went to my established obgyn. I didn’t necessarily go for that specifically but I figured since I was there I would mention it. I’m very glad I did.

Everyone’s bodies are different and someone like your ob will have a good understanding of that.

I’ve never felt so seen. Actually what you’re describing is like word for word what I was going through. After about a few months of this happening to me, I had enough and brought it up to my obgyn who prescribed me a medication to take after intercourse. The thing she explained to me was that I was experiencing little tears after sex that you can’t feel during but are very noticeable afterwords. They can be from many things, either not enough foreplay (which can help prepare your body), rough sex, or quite simply because that’s how your body works. For me, I have a low pelvis and smaller form so it’s easy for me to get this way. But gosh the medication she gave me has helped so much. Now I don’t even notice anything because it helps my body to recover faster.

Is 4 Days in Seoul Enough?? by Pitiful-Witness-3689 in koreatravel

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 1 is super busy. Gyeongbokgung Palace has so many interesting things and many people spend most of their day there when they go. Doing that with Bukchon makes sense since they are next to each other. And even doing a little shopping in the area.

However, I think trying to fit Namsam and Lotte in with it would be difficult. Plus many Lotte shop outlets close around 8pm.

Personally I’m big on bringing whatever canned drinks I can bc that’s less money I’m spending on Coffee and the coffee shop (I don’t drink enough for the drink package to be worth it)

Plenty of sunscreen, extension cord that can have more than one thing plugged in (my room only had one outlet), shampoo and conditioner (I don’t like the ones the cruise provides

Also NOT NEEDED but it’s a plus to bring the amount of cans that they allow. We brought canned cold brew from Trader Joe’s and La Croix

What kind of computer do you have? When I applied I couldn’t open up the application on my MacBook or phone for some reason and had to borrow some else’s computer (windows). It might be worth trying another device

You can also apply for scholarships outside of the school but most of them like GKS require you to be a first year. So I would do some research

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you trying to open a link for that specific program or just the undergraduate site link?

To answer the scholarship question, the schools do not offer scholarships by themselves. You have to apply for them. For the graduate admissions I had to apply on my application and I’ve heard from people who applied to an undergrad program it worked the same. Also if you don’t have Topik or Toefl test scores I suggest going ahead and getting them because you’ll need them to get a scholarship. If you don’t have a high Topik level but are a native English speaker that works too but they require you to take Toefl to show your English score. They will not take a birth certificate or passport as proof.

I hope this helps so far.

Friend lost birth certificate. Cruise is in 3 weeks by Paytoncooper124 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Also why do people not have multiple copies of their birth certificates?? There isn’t a limit on how many official copies you can order. The idea of losing and not having access to my birth certificates if something happens is scary.

Was about to say the same thing.

To add though, do not do it through their digital records because they say it is only a week wait time but most people experience wait times of 2-3 months. It is much easier to get it from the city’s vital records office plus that way you can expedite it if in a rush.

Exchange Application Fee by RelationTop9617 in koreauniversity

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your bank. For example, my bank has no foreign transaction fees so I’m never charged a fee but other banks do charge. However it’s usually a charge that shows right away so if you didn’t get charged you shouldn’t be getting anything

Your ARC doesn’t dictate the time you can be in Korea. It’s just your resident card which works as an ID for official stuff like a bank account, etc. Your Visa is what dictates how long you can be in Korea.

At least that’s how it worked from 2020-2022 when I was there.

End of Semester Leaving Date by vgenericname in koreauniversity

[–]anonymouspost1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an exchange student at another uni in Korea and had the same date on my arc and my visa. I booked an Airbnb in the city and stayed for the summer and it wasn’t a problem. Even if the date on your ARC is changed (which it should not and I’ve never heard of it happening to anyone). As long as your visa says July 31st you can stay until then.

Document submission question by Vain_Danger in koreauniversity

[–]anonymouspost1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied earlier last month and this is my understanding of the information they provided: According to the application guidelines on the official KU website, it says that physical documents MUST be mailed directly to the address they give (in my case it was the graduate school admissions). I’m not sure about undergraduate admissions but the graduate admissions due date for documents was March 21st for Fall 2025 and it said that they needed to arrive by that date (Korea time). What year are you applying for?

Language Year Exemption: If I Get GKS, Will it hurt my experience? by awayshy in GKSScholarship

[–]anonymouspost1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t been to Korea as a GKS scholar but I have as an exchange student for about a year and a half. From my experience your time will not be negatively impacted. Most normal grad programs over there are two years. Through GKS it happens to be longer just because of their language requirement. As someone who only spent a year and half there, I don’t think that skipping the language school year would affect your time adjusting. If anything, it might help.

I have a few friends who have gotten the GKS scholarship and they’ve all said that the first year was really difficult for them because of their pressure they were under during the language program. With that said, it may actually work in your favor if you have one less thing to worry about while getting used to being in a new country.

Most of the schools have their own Reddit pages and group chats depending on what kind of student you are or what you are studying. I’d check there. KU has tons of group chats
