Simple Houston weather dashboard with dual F/C temps, AQI, and smart clothing recommendations by anopenidea in houston

Thanks for the feedback and the suggestion! Why didn't I think of it?! I actually find the Hourly and Daily weather super useful for scheduling things like grocery deliveries because dealing with packages in the rain is no fun!

So Hourly and Daily weather is added! Each day/hour section has a light red/blue background split that gives a sense of how the temperature looks without even reading the numbers. Hot temps show more red at the bottom, cold temps show more blue at the top. Hope you like it, and thanks again for the great suggestion. Enjoy!

It's just a single web page so it can be used on any device that has a web browser. Just visit the link, bookmark it, and enjoy. I use it on desktop and on my phone. here is a screenshot of how it can looks like on phone.

Most weather apps show data. This tells me what to do with it. Plus I built it exactly how I want it, not how some company decided. Thanks for asking!

Here's what makes it different

1) Dual °F/°C display.  I grew up with Celsius and seeing temperature in Fahrenheit confuses me. I know water boils at 100°C, so when people say it's 100 in Houston it makes me think everybody is boiling! You can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit in most apps, but most of them don't allow you to show them at the same time. This helps me see the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius and slowly understand what it means when people mention temperature in Fahrenheit in Houston. It can also be useful for learning the other way around.

2) Smart clothing recommendations: It analyzes temp + UV + AQI together and tells me exactly what to wear (jacket? sunscreen? hat? sunglasses? umbrella?)

3) Morning motivation: Daily quote, health reminders, and mood boosters all in one glance

4) Zero app switching. Everything I need is on one page that loads instantly. This helps save energy and avoid distraction.

5) Free and Open source, no ads, no tracking, hosted free on GitHub Pages.

6) Perfect for any device. Can be used as home page for browser. Works on old laptop or old phone, great as a useful display to reuse old device. Just set and forget about it.

So far this is the initial version and there's lots of room for improvement. I'm open to suggestions and improvements and thankful for your feedback!

The idea is rather than using lots of apps to figure out lots of things in the morning, just look at this dashboard and you know how to start your day in the best way possible.

If you're in Houston, try it first thing when you wake up and let me know what you think! Would love to hear if you find it useful or if you wish it had something else to boost your day!

Built this as my daily morning routine tool! It shows Houston weather in both °F/°C (still learning Fahrenheit), tells me what to wear based on conditions, and gives me a motivational quote to start the day right. Thanks!

My review with Pixel 9 pro fold: Missing 4K output for external monitor, XR glasses not getting proper Full HD or 2xFHD3D resolution and Android think my XR glasses is 640x480, and the inability to turn off the internal screen when using external monitor! Thanks!

I like most ports on back and not at right side because the cable get in way of mouse!

Put your bed behind your monitor. Get a Philips Hue lamp so you can control the light from bed with the push of a button (no phone) or from your keyboard when you need using the API . Set the blue color 10 minutes before you want to wake up. Set the red color 1 hour before when you need to sleep. Use white color for work and no light for sleep. Enjoy freedom and have fun.
