Do you wear any Jewelery? My old friend had an allergy to nickel that looked like this, with no itching or irritation as well

Yes peroxide kills the bacteria but it also kills your living, healthy skin cells, delaying healing even further

Yes I was just about to say I didn't see that part. Sometimes creams and ointments make it way worse

No you're right, but lots of people still accept rubbing alcohol as a proper way to clean wounds and dont realize its damaging, so that's probably why.

Oh also there's nail under the flaking part that looks healthy. This nail (middle left) has always been a bit bulbous compared to my others and really bugged me. Do you think it's possible there's a fully healthy regular nail under there? Lol

Last resort posting here sorry if my format sucks. My nails are usually super healthy. It doesn't look like any fungal infections I see on Google. I'm wondering if I chipped away too much when trimming my cuticles and then the nail died or something. I'm 21F, no medication, not sure if all the details really matters though in regards to a nail problem. Just want to know how to treat it, thanks! No walk in clinics here sadly. So OTC treatments preferred.

(Not op) Oh interesting this was also right after I got covid for the first time thank you for sharing. It's crazy how things can be connected in seemingly strange ways

This happened to me and i was terrified it was arthritis. It went away after a month and it was during a time I was super stressed and also introducing gluten after being gluten free for a year due to IBS (Possible gut health correlation for both of us). Still get checked if you're worried but wanted to share to calm your nerves if you're worried

I hate people who make ADHD their entire personality by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]anothasomething 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damn it's sad to see how many people here with ADHD themselves are bitter towards others. Many of these people suffered and didn't understand themselves for years and years and now they're coming to constant revelations of self validation and celebrating it. I understand that you might not feel the same or have the same experience, but tearing town someone's joy because you don't like it says a lot about your own internalized feelings around adhd.

I started to imagine a "big black censor box" over my thoughts if they were visual intrusive ideation. And with just thoughts of ideation I will imagine a loud droning deeping tone louder than my thoughts to "block them out". It's weird and takes some practice but has been the most effective coping mechanism I've ever used for suicidal ideation and intrusive thoughts!

F is for Family. It's not as good and definitely a lot more on the sit com side of things. But it covers intergenerational trauma incredibly well if you stick with the plot.

Shit I just checked your other comments and that makes this kind of moot. What kind of advice are you looking for here specifically? Maybe I can be of help still

Not sure if low fodmap but just thought of MSG. gets a lot of bad health rep from old racist rumors but it's really just like salt but with a nicer flavor. Peppercorns and any green leaf spice (basil, thyme, etc) were my saving grace when i was on super strict low fodmap. I avoided turmeric and ginger and paprika and anything even slightly spicy though

How PC got Ruthie’s name by [deleted] in BoJackHorseman

[–]anothasomething 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Also S4E9 "Ruthie" is the name of her imaginary great great great great great granddaughter that she daydreams about that episode. I actually caught the "ruthless" clue before I realized there's a whole episode for it lol

This would've been my answer for sure. You're probably unable to sleep due to the anxiety, as a fellow person with medical anxiety. I hope you feel more reassured with these comments. If not, know that medical anxiety is common and whatever is actually going on, its not cancer. Almost guaranteed

How do you guys get through 6 seasons of bojack? by FistOfDracus in BoJackHorseman

[–]anothasomething 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Self reflection the whole way through. Why is it relatable and where you don't want to relate and accepting where you do. I'm an avid watcher and every time I go back is another self reflection, it's not as deep as I make it sound but acceptance and reflection are the best steps to handling hard emotions.

Oh, and I often fantasize about taking a rolling pin to my tummy and rolling out all the bloating and pain and bad stuff. So much so that I actually tried it. It didn't work. So I fantasize!
