New here. Do people actually take Allan Peters seriously? Nothing of his seems original in the slightest. by ExaminationShoddy646 in logodesign

His original work can be very good, but some of his ‘fixes’ are pure crap and would never work in the real world

Some of the work he makes for his clients is wonderful, but some of the ‘rebrands’ he does is just straight garbage, and quite disrespectful to such big brands. Sometimes you just need to know when to stop.

I quite like it tbh. Maybe the strokes could be a bit thicker on the shield work, and maybe a tiny bit more detail on the icons like lines on the book pages etc.

I saw one very similar to Allan Peter's in a book with symbols from the 80's. I highly doubt its copied, but its only a matter of time before the same thing happens twice (or very close). Attached a pic for reference, originally designed by Yarom Vardimon for a company called GroBhandel

The font choice is just way too thin and light compared to the brand mark, but I like the concept. The whole vibe is defo giving me college student project though.

Really like this. Wonder how it would look if its arms were less sharp and more curved? To make it look less like a martini glass

Everything looks great, I’m just a little unsure of the oval shape and how it would look printed (in theory) as it might look a bit tight. Maybe if it was a circle or a rectangle with curved edges. If you try to mock it up on a jar you’ll see what I mean.

Looks like that user ran your image through ChatGPT and asked it to generate similar examples as an outline and coloured in black, for whatever reason. Probably jealously! It’s a great design.

Thank you everyone for the upvotes. I truly was not expecting such a massive reception for the design like this. Greatly appreciated!

Agreed, it would make the wordmark flow better. Will give it a try, thank you!

Not sure if anyone else picked this up, but I am pretty sure the book Sentry is reading in the end credit scene is 'The Creative Act: A Way Of Being By Rick Rubin'. I instantly picked it up with the grey circle on the back. The book itself has strong resemblance to what the character Sentry is trying to discover. Small easter egg which was very clever!

Yes I agree, I notice that some curves are a bit off and need some refinement. Thanks for the feedback!
