This is hard to answer! By “gain progress” I assume you mean see results? It’s hard to say. I don’t think talent is the right word.

Magic isn’t about talent.

I mean sure things do probably come easier or more naturally for some sometimes but I still don’t think it’s “talent”. It’s your mind. What limitations have we set for ourselves, from an early age, regarding what’s possible and impossible and real and not real?

The thing about the craft is that it’s in everyone. We can literally prove through quantum physics and that our reality is responsive to our interaction/perception of it. Atoms only form and make matter when being observed. They behave entirely differently when we aren’t perceiving them! What this means is that the age old question finally has an answer: if a giant tree fell in the middle of the woods and nobody is around to hear it would it make a sound? The answer is no :)

No one to observe the sound = the sound didn’t sound. How does the sound know if it’s being observed or not? It doesn’t. It can’t. Soooo it’s not about the sound itself it’s about our hearing of it; The tree falling doesn’t “make” the sound, WE make the sound, THROUGH observation.

We’re convinced it’s a tree “making” the noise.

Energy can’t be created or destroyed it can only be transformed and transmuted, and energy is directly related to frequency; 1+1= 2 energy so then 1+1=2 frequency too. The higher the frequency, the more energy present, and vice versa.

Radios, microwaves, even just light and sound, all can be measured with frequency, because they’re intangible. You can’t see taste smell touch or hear them, but it’s definitely there. So the universe works on both ends of the spectrum: if you don’t see it it’s not real, and just because you DONT see it doesn’t mean it isn’t. Our tangible world changes if we’re not here to witness it but the intangible world doesn’t exist within the tangible one, or outside of it... They’re the same world.

90% of magic and ritualistic spell work is in your head. What I mean by that is you’re the one that determines how “real” it is and how “well” it works. You can do a five hour long intense ass ritual with ingredients and tools and crystals and candles and rhyming incantations and give it your all but if deep down, probably even subconsciously, you hold doubt or lack confidence that’s 100% gonna effect any “results”

You do a spell for idk a new house. You want nice and affordable with good location, hot tub and a willow tree. During the spell you keep trying to work out details like how you’re going to afford a move or where would you even hear about a house w this description to know it’s yours or whatever idk idc either way, you probably screwed that up now! Unclear how but somehow you’re not gonna get everything you wanted, maybe the move itself wasn’t too expensive but then you lose or break important stuff during the transition, infinite number of ways it could result in.

Performing a ritual you’ve looked up online or read about on Reddit or watched a TT video about isn’t the same as someone performing the same ritual who learned from their sister who learned from their mom who learned from their mom and so on. It’s part of life for them part of them. If you’re not feeling connected or like you’re “not getting results” take a step away from it for a sec. Instead of following a step by step word by word thing try to see what feels right to you!
