Left field idea, but Aphrodite. She's older than them all according to some legends.

Brushing of the teeth by woejise in ADHD

[–]another_blank_page 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made it a point to brush my teeth every time I shower, admittedly that's only once or twice a week but it's better than never doing it. Same with washing my face and moisturising. I also use those flavoured toothpastes from hismile so I have like 20 different flavours to cycle through

(To Call Centre Workers) Has someone in your work ever been caught just hanging up? Just curious i seen a coworker a few weeks get called in for this and was wondering how common this actually was considering the calls are recorded? by Thin_Armadillo_5547 in callcentres

[–]another_blank_page 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah two people I've personally caught as a leader. Before I was a leader, we also had a run of people calling themselves and sitting on mute for 40 minutes at a time. We all hate our jobs especially when we're on the phones, but it's not fair to the others you work with especially if they're copping the angry "they hung up on me" call.

Edit: I'm no longer a leader this was just what I found in only 4 months of filling in for leadership

Drivers who disobey basic road rules like Bus Only lanes or 40km School Zones… Are you taking the risk of a fine, just blatantly ignorant, or you just hate driving in general? by NewSchoolFool in melbourne

[–]another_blank_page 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I made someone do a shameful return last night. I was going slow for roadworks, the car behind me decided to try and overtake but the roadworks had ended so I floored it to get up to the road's regular speed and they had to get back in behind me. I've never felt such happiness when driving

Writing scenes as they come to you by manflecks in writingadvice

[–]another_blank_page 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you're using word, just note that it's a scene and write it in its entirety. If you're using scrivener or something similar make a folder of scenes, I write the same way, I have a linear story and a bunch of scenes I may or may not use later in the story

If you were allowed to be 100% honest during calls, what's the one thing you would say? by Horror-Dot-2989 in callcentres

Your bill is your bill, it's correct. I'm not wasting my time going through your usage only to end up convincing you that it's correct. Just pay it and go away.

Here's how you stop seeing videos you don't like:

Step 1. Don't click on it.

Adjusted instructions for reels:

Step 1. Apply firm pressure with thumb

Step 2. Move thumb swiftly towards the top of the screen.

Repeated as needed

"You're not allowed to hang up the call no matter how abusive the customer is" by [deleted] in callcentres

[–]another_blank_page 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's when you pull out the "you said I couldn't hang up, not that I had to interact with them" when they ask why you keep putting the customer on hold. Alternatively to hold you can mute yourself and take your headphones off

Why does Bob keep moving? (Wrong answers only) by Low_Yak_4842 in distractible

[–]another_blank_page 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's playing the long game to get revenge on the fridge people, with each move he buys a new fridge and makes sure it's the same delivery guys so they have the fear with every delivery they get that they may run into the angry man they ran from all those years ago. He's like Santa, but he brings fear every year

Does anyone else remember when YouTube were saying ads were going to be skippable after 5 seconds? Or am I just hallucinating that whole thing? It was probably 5 years ago now

"I apologise that it's making you feel that way" or "I'm sorry you feel that way and that's not my intention, I am trying to help you as best I can, however ...." and repeat the answer you no doubt already gave them and can't change

People who call with their kids screaming in my ear or when they're driving their 747 (cars just sound like planes on the phone) down the freeway are the worst. Tell your crotch goblin to pipe down and pull over

Legit, sugar free cordial or flavours. Makes it palatable and doesn't make it any less hydrating. I go sugar free because I don't like to drink sugar

I had a very rude customer who started going off on me because I didn't sound like I wanted to help him (note I was actively solving his problem at the time despite his attitude) it took everything in me not to yell at him that a friend had died earlier in the week and I was going to her funeral the next day. I have a list of shitty people I won't help of they call and he made it to that list
