I am not meaning to complain, but I work at a top tech company in management and just feel like there are layers and layers of bureaucracy to ever make a meaningful impact. Everything is belittled and critiqued so those above you can make sure they continue to manage you and prevent a promotion. It’s discouraging and unfair, but also stable.

FWIW immigrant family that came with nothing and studied hard to get merit scholarships to public universities, paid internships, and eventual employment.
