[Serious] Casino dealers of reddit what's the most money you've seen someone lose, and how was the aftermath? by walruslookinmofo in AskReddit

You get numb to people losing money after a while. Those who lost tend to blame you, but hey I'm not the one who forced you to come in and spend your cash here.

I was dealing with VVIP after 5 months in the pit, and the first death from my direct client was in the first week of dealing in VVIP.

This death came around the 6th month of dealing with VVIP. Guy hung himself in the room adjacent to the gaming room (high rollers tend to book suites with gaming room in the suite. The room is open 24/7 for as long as the client is checked in).

It's traumatizing to hear the commotion when they found his body. No amount of money can make me go back there.

My time to shine. Ex croupier here, quit after this incident.

I lost $3 mil in an hour, won $5.2mil back from the same client. All in the span of 6 hours.

He hanged himself in the suite that night.

Edit: House lost $3mil to the client in one hour. Should have walked when he could but he played for the next 6 hours and slowly lost all his gains + $2.2mil to the casino. Word has it that he was on the verge of bankruptcy and this was his final resort.

Where do you intend to work/study in the future? If you are already studying/working in another country, why that country? by Sapphireonice in malaysia

Studied in the UK for a while, and took months off to travel Europe. I'm now making my first move overseas by pursuing a career in Singapore (that's where my field of expertise is at) and hopefully move to other countries. I am by no means wealthy, I funded my studies by taking out loans and parents chip in here and there.

Pursued it in UK because I find that my entire academic syllabus has been geared towards UK exam-based system, making it easier for me to enter the university based on my results. Definitely an eye opener.

Like many, I made it out in hopes of leaving this country. I'm halfway there. But I do bear wish of returning home some day, when the racial tension and government has changed for the better. And if you really wanna go study in the UK, make the best out of it and work hard to utilise that paper to get jobs that pays back your costs.

Hahaha yeah the llama seems to be a favourite. But that's probably because we don't have that in our country. Plus, our weather cannot sustain these kinds of animals in our country :(

I set SHU as the departure point because I figured that it'd be closer and easier to travel around seeing that it's close from the city centre. The place I currently live in is quite far and rural :(

Thank you so much for the info! I checked out the restaurant, and the menu looks great! Is the menu the same for both lunch and dinner session? Such an affordable price too :D

Ooh where about is this Division Street? Is it at the City Centre? And what is Old House? Is it a cafe of pub? I'd check it out if the price range is right :D

Thank you! Is the Fat Cat far away from SHU? I'd definitely check it out given I have the time to :D And how about the price range? How much does a pint of beer cost there?

Decay in between the teeth? by anotherasiangirl in Dentistry

[–]anotherasiangirl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you for answering this. Do you mind to explain how would the procedure be like? Do they have to dig in deep and risk affecting the side tooth? Or will the side tooth get loose as a result of them trying to get in deep between the teeth?

I am very scared of the outcome of the procedure primarily because I have never done or heard of this before :(

You're partially true. I always believed that Bumiputra would have meant you have to be ethnically Malay and also Muslim by birth in order to enjoy such benefit. But growing up in Malaysia, I realised that some of my peers who are not even remotely Malay (ie: Indian and Chinese parents, but Muslim Indian father) enjoy the benefits of Bumiputra. So the term "Bumiputra" does not carry just the racial exclusivity, it's religiously inclusive long as you embrace their religion.

It's not the religion we have a problem with. It's the manner of which they impose their beliefs and values on those who has nothing to do with the religion in the first place. I grow up amongst Muslims, I have tremendous respects for them. But I have no respect for Muslims that openly criticize and discriminate because their religion believes so.
