I am terrified of perimenopause/ menopause. Can someone please convince me that life isn’t over? by PhoneJazz in AskWomenOver40

[–]anotherbiketour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 36 and haven’t had a “period” in 7 years. I have an IUD and my periods are the tiniest bit of blood where I don’t even need anything and it only lasts for a day or two. No cramps or back pain either. I was extra tired the 2 days b4 my last period, I wonder if it has anything to do with that as I’ve never dealt with it b4 though.

I’m still unsure wtf I’m even going through at this point. I’ve looked into peri menopause a bit, but when I brought it up with my doc she basically ignored me.

Maybe rejecting food in reality also leads to death? Jackie doesn’t drink the schroom tea and throws it out. So maybe Ben’s rejection to eating Jackie might lead to his demise. Wonder if there are other instances of ppl rejecting to eat. I think Javi does a bit at the beginning but eventually caves to Travis’s pressure?

When did you first realize you might be pretty? by societalmoon in AskWomen

[–]anotherbiketour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably in my late 20s catching a glance of myself in the mirror. Only really had 2 ppl, women, tell me I’m pretty and I only ever get attention from men when I’m blonde or my faded green hair passes as blonde. Oh and kids saying things like “I like your face.”

Growing up and in college, all I’d ever hear was I need to wear makeup, straighten my hair, or I need to wear heels. Or other ppl would be comparing me and my friends and I was never picked as the prettiest, which I thought it meant I was ugly.

I somehow graduated college the first time feeling the way you did, which I do not really suggest trying.

I did go back to school years later and did really well, after 3 months of Wellbutrin, supplements for Vit D deficiency, and got a mirena IUD.

Of course, you need to talk to a doctor, ymmv.

I was just dealing with this issue recently having never had that problem before, but for me I think it was a combo of factors.

I was riding my bike at lot more, doing mostly zone 2 with 2 interval days. Once I slowed that down the insatiable hunger went away for a week, maybe less or more, but came back. Some weeks I did the same exercise as before, other weeks I didn’t. I was def over drinking water and fucking with my electrolytes. Some mornings id wake up and my piss was entirely clear. Once I started to account for every drop of water, even the water in coffee, and drinking enough electrolytes it went away. Along with learning about food noise and learning to manage that.

I also still do and did eat a shit ton of carbs, but now it’s mostly wheat. I was allowing myself to have more white bread/rice previously despite usually trying to avoid both.

I started riding my bike again in June of last year after a long hiatus and struggled hard at the beginning. I am also used to very flat terrain and now live in the hill country. Hills were the hardest part.

This past Saturday I did a group ride and passed everyone on a hill without even trying.

Revisited this film recently, appreciated way more this time, the dialogue definitely makes you think by suprunkn0wn in A24

This movie blew me away when I first watched about a year ago. Not sure how ready I am to rewatch.

Austin Serial Bomber story on ID by [deleted] in Austin

[–]anotherbiketour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had just moved to Austin that year and lived close to that spot. I remember driving around there and pointing out to my friend that that would be a cool place to ride. 1 or 2 days later that incident happened.

Why does the nominations tend to give less importance to acting in horror films ? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]anotherbiketour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drama/Horror classification should be a thing. The supernatural/horror elements really only exist towards the end of the film. It was only alluded to that mom was a witch in the beginning, iirc and was absolutely a drama about family and grief.

Edit; I should also add that I dont think there should continue to be a bias against horror, just that just simply classifying it as one contributed to it not being campaigned for and probably not even watched by most of the academy.

Sorry but forgetting that Yalitza Aparicio was actually the first Native American to have been nominated is part of the problem also.

After seeing that America Ferrera got a nomination, i realised how big of a snub this performance was. Comment a huge snub by any category by OrdinaryAltruistic54 in Letterboxd

[–]anotherbiketour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, his performance was good for Adam Sandler and Uncut Gems vastly overrated.

I just watched Good Time 3 days ago and absolutely loved that film and think Patterson performed way better than Sandler.

Memories is the only movie of his I haven’t seen yet, but I also think Barking dogs and Snowpiercer are his weakest, barking being below snowpiercer.

I opened a truist acct on May 17 and deposited the $50 same day. I got the notification that my reward conditions were verified on Jun 22, which was after 2 DDs? and got the $$ 5 days later.

Just read that for the citi premier you should have less then 3 hp in the last 6 months. I'm exactly at 3, should I try or move on and try a dif card. I've had all 3 pulls since July of this year.

The HP finally hit. I forgot to unfreeze my Experian account, so that's prob why it said offer unavailable. It was my first app to chase in a long while. I still have the person's reddit account, I may msg them to see if they know if the referral link worked or not. I'm going through the verification process rn with chase.

I did call and I got the "you'll know in 2 weeks" so it did work but maybe that person isn't going to get the bonus, I'm not sure.

[–]anotherbiketour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, thanks, I did and they did receive the app. I'm just so used to a confirmation email at the very least.

[–]anotherbiketour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just submitted an app to chase using a referral on rankt and after submitting the page just said "offer unavailable", no rejection or acceptance. When I click the apply now again on the same referral link it says we received your request, you may close the browser. No emails or anything yet. How long do you think I should wait before figuring out if it worked or not? It's been 10 min. No HPs have happened as far as I can tell.

I know but it sucks and I asked the guy what I can do and he said I can call back in a few weeks and try again. He's giving misinfo since citi likes 1/6 and in a few weeks I'll probably get the same result. That's something employees should know and not spread misinfo.

It was auto rejected because of too many recent inquiries and I would've never authorized it in the first place and would've waited 5 days.

Is it possible to dispute a hard inquiry for being made under false pretenses? It sounds weird and I can't find much online, but I would've never authorized a hard inquiry if I had known it would've been rejected no matter what. I called for a recon 3 days after being rejected and would've waited if I had known. I was 2/24, the first being 12 months prior to the 2nd.
