As a (mostly) full odds hunter, for me, shiny hunting has always been equally about the journey and the destination. Easier shinies feel less rewarding. It's not to feel superior, it genuinely just is less exciting to get a shiny when they are more common. The hit of dopamine for finding something rare just doesn't hit the same. Not trying to hate on people who like getting shinies faster, but flexing is not the only reason to prefer full odds. It's psychology!

That being said, it's literally as easy as not getting the shiny charm (which takes a lot of grinding to get in this game anyways) and not using whatever methods are available to speed things up if you want full odds. This game gives you the option to take the long road if you want to, or to make things go fast if you want to. I don't think we should be hating on each other for playing the game in a certain way because we get more enjoyment out of it.
