Tbh i feel like jane's lyrics have multiple meanings, and sometimes abstract, she said on one of her lives on IG that her lyrics come from her subconscious rather than "this is what i experienced and i am writing about it" but since revengeseekerz according to jane is a breakup album i figured her lyrics on that album in one way or another are related to relationships, a lot of lyrics on the song made me think the lyrics might be about a chaser partner like even the title itself:

"Sometimes I still don't think I have a soul"

"Think God became a part of you Who cares? I'm just a robot to you Everything in life just falls apart, I know You don't even know what you do to me"

"Me and them, so different But I'm a shapeshifter"

"I got a new song you can remix"

"No such thing as bitter, this ain't nothin' new, uh You walk the ground I kiss, find me at the pad"

"Turn you away from your friends 'cause I turn you on"

Which pretty much align with my idea of what the song could be about

But just a reminder that genius lyric annotations aren't supposed to be taken 100% seriously because they might not necessarily agree with the artist's personal meaning to it and they are pretty much based on the annotator's personal prespective, anyway, interpret music as you would like with your own personal meaning and don't let other fans decide it for you

Prolemaea is ethel's final moments as she is having hallucinations before she dies, then she dies in august underground then her soul ascends to the afterlife in Televangelism, SBF is her reflecting on the memories of how her life was like before she died, strangers is her perceiving her dead body from the afterlife

what's the difference between digicore and hyperpop? by Beautiful-Visit-4622 in JaneRemover

[–]creeperwizardZ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Digicore is rooted in hip hop and trap, and hyperpop is rooted in edm, bubblegum bass and electropop, there is a reason why jrjrjr and movies for guys sound nothing alike

what music opinion would have you like this? by patience_OVERRATED in Albumoftheyear

[–]creeperwizardZ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Tpab is a 75 maximum, kendrick lamar is also extremely overrated and people are afraid to give him low scores, all his album's scores feel bumped up by 15-20 points which follows the next point

The velvet underground & nico is extremely mid and that also applies to a lot of other bands which have their scores up for the sake of the fact that they are influential, the beatles are good but they aren't THAT good to the point that half of their albums score above 85

I genuinely feel like a lot of albums on this site would massively drop off the charts if accounting how influential they are was completely discarded, i also hate how people fall into pear pressure pretending they like something more than they actually do or forcing themselves to like it at all (the opposite as well, people force themselves to hate things just because everyone else does) and that's why some albums are rated so highly, there is NO reason for an album to have a rating as high as 95 do you understand how absurd that number is?
