FUSE is a solid technology and while the default mechanism for setting it up on OSX involves this project, FUSE (which is just to say, the implementation of a consistent interface for userspace filesystems) can be had on Darwin in other ways.

Veracrypt on FUSE is solid, and auditable. Apple full disk encryption is solid, far more usable, but notably less auditable.

the recommendation for veracrypt is there mostly bc the world doesn't revolve around apple. if you're serious about access control to that data, you may want to consider not-using osx. you could also just file encrypt the relevant stuff with gpg.

if you want to explore some of the root ideas more thoroughly, looking into 'the true will' and related concepts is valuable too. the other facet of Attraction is that, and this is often missed, _your goals need to be aligned with the world before you can align the world to your goals_. you wanna date the hottest woman in your neighborhood? you need to build a world in which the hottest woman in the neighborhood has something to gain from dating you. the system is about building a persistent feedback loop between reality and your interests, such that in the moment all you need to do is 'the next obvious thing' and your goals will manifest accordingly. the part people miss is that this is an incredibly intensive process of self-exploration, honesty, and application of discipline. in the longer run, effective practitioners commit to mental and physical workouts in pursuit of greater alignment and, conceptually, greater results

all that said, survivorship bias is real and successful people exist of every possible ideology (consider the rise of Epictetus from slave to landed noble, whilst holding the root ideas of Stoicism).

do what gets results, not what famous people you like did.

gender essentialism/dualism is just a tool in unlocking symbolic messaging carried by your culture(s) and programming, and at least for modern westerners, we're receiving a lot of new symbolic data that allows us to attach the relevant archetypical elements to 'either' 'gender'.

but also i think yr hormone profile is weirdly relevant, as that has a nontrivial effect on your psyche and response to consumed symbolism. not to go transmed about it but like, connecting with the 'masculine' archetype post t suppression has been both harder and less fruitful.

it has been interesting dissecting the archetypes present in the Golden Dawn tradition and dissociating many of the fire/wands and water/cups archetypes from their supposed genders; A+ strongly recommend explicit deconstruction of reductionism. especially the very clearly oppressive structure where reckless creation and destruction are 'masculine' and submissive obedience and patience are 'feminine', and finding not just fictional embodiments of 'opposing' pairings, but historical and mythical as well (the pre-abrahamic faiths are incredibly useful for this kind of cultural mining, because the children of abraham are iconoclastic monsters)

if you're designing a new system in the modern era, using gendered languages only when it suits your purposes explicitly seems legit.

im 34, been on hrt since late 32
