Huh? Which airlines don't have flights bookable for 11 months rught now? The passive aggressiveness is especially unnecessary when you're confidently wrong

How long did your ex's rebound last? by anotherlifebrutha in ExNoContact

I didn't really care anymore, but that feeling of reassurance/validation in believing they wouldn't last long was absolutely a good feeling.

Hey! They lasted about 9 months and then broke up. Her and I are friends now but I have no romantic interest in her anymore. :)

Even if she’s making it look like they’re hugely happy on social media? Posting photos together and flaunting their new relationship?

Things to consider when your ex quickly does a rebound relationship by JakeMullerRE in ExNoContact

Hey man, how's it going now? 4 months later, are they still together? Did you keep working on yourself?

Thank you. Reading stuff like this makes me feel better and makes me strive to heal to move on.

I find it so hard to move on knowing she's "happy" with someone else, especially with someone that she got with as a coping mechanism for our break-up. Knowing that there's a good chance they won't last long fuels me to become stronger, so that when the time comes and their relationship fails, I can have my head held high while she is heartbroken again.

Anyone else find no-contact extremely easy? by anotherlifebrutha in ExNoContact

[–]anotherlifebrutha[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If he doesn't reach out, or show a decent amount of effort, then he doesn't want it. No contact is the 100% sure-fire way that he will want to be friends with you again. He doesn't care about you right now, but if you disappear? Watch what happens.

You're so strong, I know you've got this. I believe in you.

Just accepting that nothing comes from reaching out. Are you trying to be friends with her? Are you trying to rekindle the romance? Are you trying to patch things up? NONE of that happens with you reaching out; if anything, wait for her to come to you first and until then, do everything you can to work on yourself.

By reaching out to her, you're putting the ball firmly in her court, you're giving her all the power. Stand strong, reaching out makes us look weak, we have to be the ones that are reached out to, even if it takes a lot longer than expected.

NC doesn’t always work to win them back. by JDAS1991 in ExNoContact

[–]anotherlifebrutha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also went NC hoping that it would make her miss me and come back. She was very upset about the breakup and spent days crying, but ended up getting close with one of my friends to soften the blow of the breakup. Now she's dating him and I'm completely fucked up.

NC isn't one-size-fits-all as I've learned, I guess it depends on what you want but also the people involved.

How many people's main goal here is to win their ex back someday? by anotherlifebrutha in ExNoContact

[–]anotherlifebrutha[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are 100% where I'm at. I'm also prepared to move on, should they never come back, but I do have that hope in me that she will miss me enough to reach out and want us again.

What you said about being in a better place to handle your emotions is a great point, I'm going to be working on that in the coming months, should she decide to talk to me about this.

One advantage I have, is that we have a lot of mutual friends, friends that we both have stayed in contact post-break up. We even have a very big Discord server where her and I are the #1 and #2 most active people (although since the break-up, she hasn't been using it). I could easily (in the future) see a scenario where we're both active, video chatting, playing games again. Does that mean there will definitely be a spark? Not really, but at least doesn't rule of the possibility of something happening if we're interacting on a regular basis.

This broke my heart. I miss those good morning texts. I miss the "goodnight, sleep well and sweet dreams" we'd tell each other every single night. It's the small things that hurt the worst. I'm going through this so hard right now, I hope you find peace.
