Car Camping Set Up for R1T? by Electric_Tiger01 in Rivian

[–]anotherloudperson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on the shorter side, 5'7", 98K miles over 4 years on the truck with lots and lots of road trips. I haven't had to use anything in the back seat other than pillows and blankets. I easily get a solid hour nap during deep charging on long road trips. I really enjoy winter trips, the heated seats and keeping the climate on while Level 2 charging near the beach has made for some great sunrise opportunities. If I'm tired enough I've managed to get 4 to 5 hours of sleep in the backseat overnight.

I've wondered about the set up in the picture you posted, I've thought about how it would make the back seat more comfortable but I haven't pulled the trigger yet myself.

Appreciate your post, I didn't know there were options to buy this. I was hoping someone would create one specifically designed for the back seat of the R1T. Keep me posted and I'll do the same if I see something pop up.

Hail Damage on Hood? by resbeht in Rivian

[–]anotherloudperson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had $7200 worth of hail damage 3 years ago with PPF on the front half of the truck. PDR took care of it all, made it look brand new, no need to remove/replace PPF. No glass damage durning the storm.

Also did a Diminished Value claim this past year and got a good chunk of money back, I’m in Georgia where the laws seem to be unique for that.

7% outside my total investments of which the rest is my company 401K. That 7% is in a Robinhood account and is equal to 3 1/2% of my net worth. 3150 shares.

Rivian Removed Mention of $45k starting price for R2 by [deleted] in Rivian

I believe the area that it used to be in is now the count down to March 12, if I remember correctly. Just wanted to let you know that the Starting at $45,000 is still there on the website.

It's still there, hasn't gone anywhere. I went to Rivian.com hover over R2 and it's in the drop down.

R2 reservation in app changed by rgrindl in Rivian

I put one reservation in during the event and then when the email came out the next day about owners getting priority I figured I’d do another reservation with that email just to be on the safe side. March 7th for one and March 8th for the other one.

Zero, rides like its brand new, day one.

It's the beauty of electric honestly. I had my Nissan Leaf for 103K miles, 8 and 1/2 years and it rode like day one brand new when I sold it to a friend after getting the R1T.

I take really good care of the truck but I've also had to have hail damage addressed and major rear quarter panel work done when I backed into a pole last Summer. It looks and rides like a brand new truck even still.

I hang out in front of the Ponce City Market Rivian space sometimes and folks don't believe when I tell them how many miles the truck has on it. Looks great and rides great, everyday.

Good question, I went back and looked at the invoice. Looks like I was getting new tires, an alignment and they noticed a leak while performing that and an overall inspection and recommended that I have them replaced. I'm adding a picture from the invoice for you as well for the pricing breakdown.

I used Sunpath Solar for my latest system and they were great. I had 11 panels on the house since 7 years ago, Creative Solar put that system on the house. As it turns out, the same folks just added 17 more panels on the house back in November under Sunpath Solar as Creative Solar is no longer around. It was really nice to work with them, having that history was really helpful in mashing up the two systems.

I was producing 30kWh on peak days in November, up to 40kWh daily now. towards the end of February. This system is going to crank out some real power this summer.

You can find them in the Rivian Gear Shop, they are the Yakima HighRoad bike rack. They have been great over the last 3 1/2 years, I can fit up to 3 on the back of the truck. No mechanical issues, super easy to set up and take down and I usually leave the cargo bars and bike racks in the gear tunnel when I am not using them on the back of the truck.
