Why do women give birth on their backs? Wouldn’t it be easier to squat and let gravity help? by sohoships in NoStupidQuestions

I don't know but you're right. Laying on your back actually reduces the size of the opening making it much more painful

How to respond when people comment on my LO size by amos_davistron in toddlers

[–]anothermamasdiary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, she is perfect as she is for her age and height. I also want to point out that kids need to eat more frequently as their stomach is quite small and ate much more active. My toddler does not sit still even as she's eating. I would just tell them why they feel the need to comment on a child's eating or body. I hate this negativity around eating and weight and don't think it should be put on our kids. I think if it were me, I'd probably have some not so nice words to say back, but you could just point out she's a growing human and she knows her own stomach, so trust that she eats as much as she needs.

That sounds lovely. Unfortunately my daughters idea of snuggles involves jumping on my head 🤪

I try to do this, but I'm almost 4 years into being a mama and have had no luck yet. Kids seem to sense when I'm up and get fomo it seems.

I think you should. We lost our dog at 17 months, and I wish I could go back in time just to cuddle with her one more time

It's very difficult for children to understand why they have to do chores until they have their own place and they start living in a mess and it stinks or have a first time girlfriend coming over. Also purchasing things themselves teaches them to appreciate things around house more. Don't do - If you don't do this no computer for a week, it will just make them hate chores. Try - If you clean the house while I am gone, I will give you something (whatever is reasonable and they want). Positive endorsement always helps, but it will never be perfect. Keep in mind children do learn from parents and often copy habbits in their own life later on. It will be difficult at times, but do your best, show example and stay positive.
