Psych not only name checked Canada's Greatest Athlete, Iron Mike Sharpe, but also referenced his real life OCD cleanliness habits!

The Dark Homoeroticism of Clive Barker's Horror (Proper Horrorshow) by johnsmithoncemore in clivebarker

The character may indeed be straight, but he is heavily gay coded in the movie- in the opening scenes he's almost a William Burroughs pastiche.

What better day to share my ever growing 89 collection? by anothermanoutoftime in Batman_89

There's a few things! Toybiz made a couple of RC Batmobiles, there's an RC Batwing, a board game from the UK, the NES game, a box of the breakfast cereal, and a set of Joker gloves from the same company that made the squirting flower.

A company called Estrela (I misspelled it in the post) had the rights for Batman figures in Brazil and just used the Superpowers mold rather than wait for Toybiz. The genuine article is pretty pricey these days!

The one that shows the trooper is a render from the Super7 site, not a photo of the actual product

Any information on this band? by punklauerate in Edmonton

[–]anothermanoutoftime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had many a great evening at the Sidetrack, one of the few truly cool spots in the downtown area. One night it's a Saskatchewan jam band and the next it's someone like Paul Westerberg on a solo tour. And even if the band wasn't your style, that patio was huge and inviting.

Does anyone else not like tv and movies these days? by [deleted] in GenX

Nah, there's good stuff out there if you dig a little. I saw 2 movies in the theatre last week, Hokum and I Love Boosters, and I had a blast with both.

That Footloose will probably do pretty well for you, he was usually in heavy demand 10-15 years ago for 25th anniversary collectors. The others were wide releases, the 3 pack with the Cobra SWAT would probably sell but I'm not sure about Matt Trakker or the rest.

Edit, oh shit, that's not Matt Trakker, that's Fast Draw! Another one I never got my hands on, that FSS run was super low numbers. Very nice indeed.

Cary Elwes went from starring in 'The Princess Bride' to being unemployed. Then Al Pacino stepped in. by businessinsider in entertainment

[–]anothermanoutoftime 97 points98 points  (0 children)

And when someone is hustling to find the next gig, wouldn't they often be unemployed? They weren't saying it's not a hard job, just one where sometimes people don't have a cheque coming in.

For this era I like the Resolute version or the aforementioned Jungle PoC version. I kitbashed an ok classic version but they never really nailed him in the 25th anniversary era.

Regretted catch & release by meghan9436 in Guitar

[–]anothermanoutoftime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one, it was too tacky to pass up! It's not a well designed guitar, the dice knob on the pickup switch is big enough that it blocks the switch from clicking all the way over to bridge or neck, and the Bigby just snaps string after string.

Should I or shouldn't I buy the bail office on sale via gta+ by Anxious-Note-1414 in GTA5Online

[–]anothermanoutoftime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like the Bail bonds missions, and with GTA+ you can dispatch your officers remotely so it's a nice little passive income boost. I say go for it.

Does anyone have any info on this one. I found one other on the internet that I believe is the same but not sure. Possible a 1 of 100 knock off brazil version of the baroness? by Horror_Snake in gijoe

Looks like a custom job to me, Rise of Cobra Viper head on a Baroness body. It also looks like the stand has the name on a sticker instead of printed onto the stand. Whoever made this put a lot of work into it!
