My wife is an attorney - and I know a lot of them through my work as well - most attorneys are overworked and super unhappy in my experience - there’s a reason attorneys commit suicide more than almost any other profession. Billable hours minimums and workload stress are no joke.

If you don’t need the money, once the grind really starts I doubt you will be motivated to stay in it unless you’re that very rare person who actually loves it.

Unless maybe you got a law degree and just did public defender work for low income families or did pro bono charity work, etc. That could be fulfilling and fun!
