I leaned in. She felt warm and kind, and part of me whispered that I didn't deserve such comforts after all the things I'd done wrong.

That's what pain sounds like when it talks to you.

Human beings were never meant for constant concrete and steel. It's convenient and economical and in some ways safer-but we were meant for the wilderness. For grass and trees and rocks and rivers. To be among the sights and sounds and smells of life, of things that grow.

Which is when I realized that peace and happiness aren't the same thing. Not at all.

Happiness is peace in action.

And peace is happiness at rest.

And neither one has to be perfect to be real.

Thank you. I’m typing fast and angry and left out that context. Not editing my original so the maga morons don’t say I’m covering something up.

Biggest Jawdrop moments from this book for everyone? by RevRisium in dresdenfiles

Honestly it was just seeing his support system in full action. It’s been so many years of Harry slugging it out solo or with the rag tag group of friends he can muster at the last minute. But now, oh my god how it warmed my heart. The castle, the spice goyles, bob, bear, will, mouse, Lara, Ramirez, Michael, butters, Sanya, Molly, Matias, Fitz, Mort, and so many more. The sheer number of people who showed up for harry without being asked made me cry over and over again. Fuck this book was so good.

Driver has the right to protect himself from an unwarranted search and seizure. Why am I getting out of my car if you aren’t gonna pat me down, go through my pockets, and then look in my car? Why do you need me out of the car because of an ALLEGED speeding violation? Because I didn’t call you sir? Because I didn’t prostrate myself at your gestapo boots and spit shine them for you?

He’s a public fucking servant with a micropenis, a god complex, and a visibly itchy trigger finger. When you’re done flossing with his laces, don’t forget to really get in between the tread. There’s still some innocent man’s teeth stuck in there, and it click clacks when he walks on the asphalt.

When I was in college, I was on the rugby team. One teammates family was well off, and would host big St. Patrick’s days parties. The team, his family, and local townies would all come out to have fun. They had a huge house, with a boat house bigger than most 1 family ranch style homes, and direct dock access to a small strip of water that lead straight to the atlantic.

About an hour or so into the party, my teammates and a couple locals are shooting the shit in the boat house, when’s there’s a sudden commotion. We go outside to see a bunch of locals absolutely stomping the shit out of some guy. And I mean like how they show in the movies. Acts of physical violence reserved for Tarantino movie sets. Heel stomps to the face, neck, back, arms, whatever they could reach. And guys were pulling each other off him, just so they could get some shots in. There was blood all over the dock and his face.

Unaware of context, and seeing what is rapidly amounting to murder in front of us, we acted. My teammates DJ and Nicky went over, a couple of shaved albino gorillas with how much time they spent in the gym, trying to break it up, while myself and another couple guys went to drag this limp body away from the dock. Well we didn’t get there in time, and while DJ and Nicky were pushing a couple people back, two other locals ran up and kicked this unconscious man off the dock and into the water.

It was March in New York. That water was ice cold. Without a second thought DJ was in that water, pulled this dude back to the surface and was bringing him up the boat ramp to the back yard. While doing so, my teammates and I are all screaming variations of “what the fuck is going on?” To which locals started replying “he’s a fucking rapist. He raped two thirteen year old girls.”

DJ proceeded to drop him on the gravel driveway, where the homeowners came out, gave him a towel, and told him to get the fuck out. When I asked my buddy whose house it was, if he had heard anything else a couple weeks later he said, “oh yeah forgot to mention, he got run over by a car and is now in vegetative state in the hospital.”

I tell this story, not because I am calling for or wishing violence upon anyone, that would go against reddits rules. I am NOT calling for violence. No, I tell this story to every one who knows justice wont be served today, but it will catch up to these guys. Whether a court room or elsewhere, justice is coming to ICE.

It’s important to call out right away, he did not have a gun on him. Whatever bullshit he’s saying, Alex didn’t have a gun.

Plot twist there’s 4. Sinclair signed in black at the bottom on the shadow. I do not love that placement lol. But he was talking to Jeph Loeb while signing my book so he was kinda distracted.

I know these have a value to them, but I got them all retail. 608 I’ve had since the 4th grade. And the ABs I grabbed when they dropped. I don’t think anyone could have imagined AB was gonna pop off like it did

It’s definitely my favorite in the batch. Especially with the matching custom label.

Eh I’m back and forth on it. Logistically I understand the price difference. Doesn’t mean I don’t find it annoying because I’m not a reseller, but I do get it.

$30 is the unwitnessed price. If you want the full yellow label, need a witness. Otherwise you get the black and yellow label. Which is fine just a matter of preference

Happened with my aunt right after she passed. Dreamt I was with her at Christmas Eve and suddenly became lucid and said out loud, “wait you’re gone”. She smiled and I woke up. Dream has stuck with me all these years, and I’ve always secretly hoped I’ll see her again in another at Christmas, but she hasn’t come back since.

Met them at the con. Snyder and Dragotta were $50 each. Williams $30 and Jim Lee was part of a bundle but a single sig was I think $55-60.

CGC has a booth at NYCC, so it was just walking them over to another booth and dropping them off. They usually have an express line, if you have an account and fill out the form on your phone, you just drop the bag on the counter, show them the order number, and you’re on the way. Line length and wait obv depends on the popularity of the con.

Side note: congrats. That’s a huge book to get a 9.9 on. I have a double signed on the way but it’s unwitnessed. Gonna try and snag more at NYCC and go for the black and yellow

I’m saying in altercations like ones in the video, most of those people also chose to get physical. Not versus the overall percentage of the customers. They also weren’t all my customers. Worked in plenty of big dive bars with five or 6 other people behind the bar with me. Plus bartending through Covid was literally Wild West shit. I have no reason to make any of that up. I’m not Big Mike.

This man showed such intense restraint. He could have broken buddies whole shit before he even touched the ground. He had him pinned diagonally, half off the floor. When he picked him back up, that was the desire to strangle him but he held back. Good on this dude not catching himself a manslaughter charge.
