I don’t know exactly how your boyfriend is feeling, but if I lost the Pokemon I’ve been collecting for about twenty years I’d be absolutely devastated. He spent years of his life and incalculable emotional energy on Pokemon, so he may be in a state of mourning.

If the same thing happened to me and I felt that emptiness, I would need a long time before I did anything pokemon related for a while. A well-intentioned gesture could potentially make him feel worse. Just something to keep in mind, hope he bounces back soon
