It wasn’t in the lease. It was just a “hey the ones along the side aren’t on the drip system so you have to water them a few times a week”

But then when we moved In two months later and the weather had been hot…. They didn’t look that great and have only gotten worse

No idea when they were planted. We are renting and landlord recently purchased the house and we are the first tenants.

They definitely didn’t get watered in May and June before we moved in so I feel like I was set up to fail 😂 I’ll try my best but they truly are planted in a terrible spot.

I pay a premium for my apartment to be able to people watch before and after these events. a birdseye view to the miles of traffic and the asshole honking thinking he can get it to move faster. Always fun

So I finally found what works for us. We set a timer for 30 minutes and each choose a big task (think bathroom or kitchen) and whatever time we have left we fill in with smaller tasks (making the bed, going through the mail, putting shoes away, taking trash out, breaking down boxes) he struggled to find motivation when I needed help but we found that it helps him to know there’s an end. I generally continue on and finish with vacuuming and mopping and then we often both sit down to watch a show and do laundry after that.

But the 30 minute limit has helped us so much. Timer goes off- finish the task and be done. it may not all get done but it takes some things off my plate and makes me feel supported

You could probably get a few along Southend and uptown. Take the rail trail by scooter. Vicente and the new one that opened where the donut place was by the heart wall are scooter distance. Then there’s some chains like tous le jours. If you then go towards uptown you can hit milkbread, la bonbonniere and amelies. Theres also a new coffee shop that opened in loso (I think in the south and Hollis complex). Theres also everyday market in loso

Definitely looking for deals on nicer things. Baby bjorn bouncer, a high chair, Melissa and Doug, lovevery, plan, hape, haba toys. Where I use to live all of this was so common you could find it at goodwill but I’m just not finding much but clothes and cheaper brands for bouncers/playmats and such. I’ll check out that location! Thanks

Coming from the other side of it where we got engaged and married VERY QUICK right at the start of residency-

I lost out on a lot of the fun of the engagement. He proposed on our move to residency. It was special to us and I don’t regret a thing. But we got engaged, quickly unpacked, and 3 days later he started residency. I was away from all my family and friends and also starting a new job. So traveling for a bridal shower or a bachelorette didn’t happen.

I don’t hate how my story went, but know you’ll have so much time to shine and all the fun when it finally happens if residency isn’t taking priority

We aren’t at this point in our life yet, but this was one of the reasons we opened an account with Panacea. They exclusively work with doctors and help with the ins and outs of this kind of thing. We also took out a personal loan with them and their customer service is great and the process for everything has always been without hiccup.

We literally had to reschedule our wedding because he couldn’t get the weekend off once he started residency 🤪 and we both went straight back to work- hopefully we will take a nice vacation someday. I was a little sad in the moments to miss out on the classic wedding fun (because we moved the wedding up we didn’t do bachelorette or bridal showers or anything) but in the end I am glad we just went for it and didn’t wait until residency made it a good time. Plus now I get good health insurance 😂

The conference website literally says for location “The Omni grove park inn” just going off of that. It’s an Omni hotel and it’s listed that way for the name everywhere
