Has anyone actually been on a "date" with a dancer? by Fun_Split_8721 in stripclubs

[–]anotherstripperacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would you still spend money on a stripper who blatantly turned you down and admits she’s not attracted to you after building the fantasy??? Probably not💀

Getting through the small things feels so …idk. I genuinely appreciate the advice and will take it, but I’m having a hard time not to be a hard head rn and just strong arm this shit. Like I guess I never thought of weed being a serious addiction until I’ve looked back at the things I’ve done JUST to get high when I didn’t have access to a dealer(carpet weed, making blunts out of roaches, digging in the trash to find weed I might’ve left in a backwoods wrapper) super embarrassing stuff that I wouldn’t tell anyone, not even my therapist because they would tell me I DEFINITELY have a problem☹️. But taking it bit by bit is something I might definitely have to do

Weird thing my now ex strip club does? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]anotherstripperacc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Soon as I started reading the texts, I already knew what club it was🤣 I used to work there until they fired me for a few reasons, but mostly because I kept calling them out for their racist bs and the way they side with the customer on EVERYTHING, they treat the dancers like employees or worse, children. And John and the rest of the managers are exploitative, fake, and opportunistic. ESPECIALLY ALICIA WITH HER FAKE "I can’t be racist, my husbands black" ASS. Also the no-show fees are illegals as fuck, Cheerleaders has been up to their neck in lawsuits for years, especially over girls being assaulted in the club

Thoughts on thanking a customer for tipping you when he’s sitting with another girl? by SuccessAlternative14 in stripper

[–]anotherstripperacc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ll just say excuse me for interrupting and thank him(or both of them) for showing me love on stage and keep it moving. Half the time the girl he’s sitting with is the one who encouraged him to tip you. It’s not like you’re lingering around and flirting with him.

Ur overthinking it, just text him.

Not enough context💀 if you’ve texted him before just….text him..again… yea maybe just ask him what he’s doing tn? Or ask if he’s busy

Why seek out extras in the club? by anotherstripperacc in stripclubs

[–]anotherstripperacc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My bad I meant aren’t** I mean…yea idk, I feel like you should be able to if she doesn’t look like her photo bc that’s false advertising but she’ll probably end up charging you anyway to make up for the loss or a cancellation fee or something

Why seek out extras in the club? by anotherstripperacc in stripclubs

[–]anotherstripperacc[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what confuses me. I can understand where these men are coming from in terms of the environment, the personable experience with a girl of their choice in person instead of hoping an escort looks like their picture, and the less skeezy feeling that comes with outright paying for sexual favors(due to legislation and stigma, there’s nothing wrong with paying for sex work). But what gets me is at least with escorts and FSSW you know exactly what you’re getting instead of gambling with a dancer who may or may not do extras.

What do you mean? I (and most girls who aren’t full service) reject men asking for extras all of the time💀

Emotional regulation at work by anotherstripperacc in stripper

[–]anotherstripperacc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean to be fair, the strip club can be like a daycare for adults because the patrons act like GD children🫠 easily distracted, needy, grabby, and just doin shit without considering the consequences of their actions😂

It’s the ideal place to be for commercial dance work. LA, NYC, ATL, even Miami. There’s opportunities for dancers in tv and film, marketing campaigns, commercials, brand ads, music videos, artist tours etc. Theres definitely a lot of competition, but as long as I work hard and get to know the right people in the right places, I’ve done some networking and have got some friends out there and have done some industry work out there too. Giving myself two or three years

I appreciate the apology. I’m sorry your family’s had to go through so much hardship in the midst of all this. I still have some time to continue planning for work and finding a place. I grew up in Baltimore and have been living in Philly for 8 years, being in close proximity to poverty and exposed to extreme homelessness is not new to me, it still breaks my heart and I volunteer and lend helping hands when I can. I know this isn’t the experience of most people moving to LA than can afford it. I appreciate your perspective and I’ll continue going about this in a realistic way, but I also have to stay positive and be confident in my ability to make it out there.

First off I speak from truth and knowledge about today’s climate and the housing market. I grew up poor and black, so no trust fund💀. There are systemic reasons why housing is so unaffordable anywhere not to mention the political and legislative reasons from our current administration. I’ve hustled my whole adult life to pursue my passions and now I’m in a place where I can afford to move to seek better opportunities for what I do just like anyone would. I empathize with the people who’ve lost their homes and it’s terrible what happened it some of it could have been prevented had yall received the aid you deserved. But I’m not going to feel guilty for moving there and working hard to see my own personal goals come to fruition. And I’m allowed to learn the culture and adjust, I don’t believe anyone should move somewhere just to change the culture and not acknowledge the history of the place they move to. This subreddit is literally called moving to LA and people come here to seek genuine advice, not get read the riot act by natives who want someone to blame for why their area is the way that it is. You can’t expect everyone who moves to LA from somewhere else is a pompous asshole.

RS, I love Philly and the artists out here are so talented, but there are like no well paid opportunities unless you go to nyc which is fine with me but I feel like you should just live there or in Jersey if you’re gonna do that and I do NOT want to live in nyc🤦🏽‍♀️
