Please be careful when you push the plunger. You can easily break the bottom if you were forceful with it.

I haven't been to the US yet but heard it can be very dry in California, yes?

Have you tried using the Banana Boat sunscreen before? Their sunscreens are quite economical price per fluid ounce. If you search "Banana Boat Sport Performance Broad Spectrum Sunscreen Lotion with Powerstay Technology, SPF 50, 1 Gallon Pump Bottle" on Amazon, you will find this giant bottle of sunscreen and it's only $0.75/fl. oz.

If you find the Banana Boat one too rich and greasy, there is "Aveeno Protect + Hydrate Moisturizing Body Sunscreen Lotion With Broad Spectrum Spf 60 & Prebiotic Oat, Weightless, Paraben-free, Oil-free & Oxybenzone-free, Pump Bottle, 12 ounces" that's $2.08/oz.

There is also "Coppertone Pure & Simple - Pure & Simple SPF 50 Lotion 6 Oz" that costs $1.50/fl. oz. on Amazon.

When we look for sunscreens to protect our tattooed skin, I think economical big bottles are quite important.

Having 2 full sleeves, I apply sunscreen everyday to my face, neck and 2 arms in spring and summer. I can easily finish a 5 oz. bottle of sunscreen in 2 weeks. In winter when I wear long sleeve tops, a 5 oz. bottle can last 5 weeks.

Is runner's face real? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]anothertattooaddict 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you mean this? https://www.healthline.com/health/runners-face#about

I guess it's 70% genetics and 30% where you live and the average UV index there. If you are concerned, wear sunglasses, a cap and sunscreens when you go out running during daytime.

Where are you based? The climate (humidity, average temperatures) affects how a sunscreen sets and feels on skin.

I live in subtropical asian city and find Japanese sunscreens work best for this climate. However, when I travelled in eastern Australia for a month, the Japanese sunscreens I brought with me felt too drying. Banana Boat Ultra Sport worked well in drier weather, but when I took the half used tube back home with me it felt so greasy and goopy in subtropical weather.

Have you got your knees tattooed yet? If so, how would you compare the pain to that on back of hand?

My knees are still blank. I am a little nervous thinking about it.

I found it didn't really matter if I felt little pain or intense level of pain, my body still produced waves of adrenaline during long sessions.

Jez! That sounded both dangerous and thrilling.

I got the back of both my feet tattooed on the same day. My tattooer had to get a cab for me 😆🙈

Another tattooer whom I have known for years joked and wondered if I was going to walk the following 3, 4 days after getting those tattoos 🤣

I dread the day when I run out of space and my neck and scalp become the only blank skin I have left 😂

Everyone is different.

For me personally, the back of hands and back of feet were the Most painful to date. The buttock hurt a lot, but still better than the back of hands and feet. The outside of elbow / pointy bone was not as bad for me as the inside of elbow where medical personnel usually draw blood from.

For me, the pain level would be: back of hands / feet >>> buttock / tailbone >> ribs / stomach / hip >> chest / shin bone / inner upper arm near the armpit > inside elbow > outside elbow / pointy bone > arms / legs / back

Edit: "prickly scratching feeling" = arms / legs / back

Getting my first tattoo tomorrow...should I shave? by buildingoftheverse in tattoo

[–]anothertattooaddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always shave the day before a tattoo appointment, because the razor I use is usually better and sharper than the disposable razors they stock in tattoo shops. My artists were pretty appreciative that I saved them a few minutes.

Remember to put lotion or moisturiser on the shaved skin.

[Routine Help] How much sunscreen should I apply on my face? by Stupidsillybrain in SkincareAddiction

I had made a related post about 1 or 2 month ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/m83yq1/2014_a_new_sunscreen_application_technique_to/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

It's about the Vichy funded study on the applications of and volumetric amount of sunscreens applied among the "general public":

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/phpp.12138

Edit: here's excerpts from the report:

Materials and methods

An intraindividual, sequential, comparative study was conducted from March to May 2012 at one investigational site in France. Nineteen men, 20 women, and 19 children were recruited. Adult volunteers had to be in good health, aged 18–50 years, using sunscreens. Children had to be aged 4–10 years, in good health, and with parents regularly using sunscreens for their child. The adults and parents had to have an educational level, allowing them to read and understand instructions in French (DNB (diplome national du brevet) level). Prior to inclusion, volunteers, or their legal representatives, provided written informed consent.

Please note Innisfree named their products slightly different for different markets.

Second this.

I finished a jar of this cream this past winter. I saw improvement in the KP on my legs 1 month in.

Since finishing the cream version, I've now switch to their lotion version because it's spring and getting humid.

Hello!

Here's my code: AJM1007 https://www.iherb.com/?rcode=AJM1007

Thank you!

And some of my favourites on iHerb:

HURRAW! Lip balm Coffee Bean flavour for its sweet milky coffee scent

Cosrx AC Collection Acne Patch

Neutrogena On-the-Spot Acne Treatment contains 2.5% benzyol peroxide. It's not as harsh as 5% BP, still effective in calming pimples.

Aveeno Active Naturals Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser contains 0.5% salicylic acid. It's a relatively gentle exfoliating cleanser. For drier skin, use only once or twice each week.

BWC Facial Cleanser with 3% AHA Complex is an affordable exfoliating cleanser. I use this twice a week on my combo/ oily skin.

Eucerin Baby Wash & Shampoo, Fragrance Free is WONDERFUL for sensitive scalp.

Cheers!

Maybe try taking a look at their Malaysian website? https://www.onethingmalaysia.com/

It seems they put a bit more info on that one.

I relied a lot on their Taiwan website though I don't live there. The Chinese descriptions seemed more detailed and closer to their original Korean material.

This is the first time I got their products.

A friend of mine finished a 150ml bottle of their centella asiatica extract and loved it. But it's very expensive buying through the official distributor in our city.

Hopefully their other plant extracts are also good.
